When Grease 2 came out it was critically panned and fans of the first movie didn't seem to like it. Michelle moved on to do other movies like Scarface and Batman Returns. It was only recently that Michelle seems more interested in acknowledging that she was in Grease 2 because of the cult following it had received. More people like it now than people did when it came out originally.

Well Grease 2 almost killed her career before it really started so she definitely has a different perspective on it than others do. She has warmed up to the movie in recent years, but the movie was a critical and commercial failure when it was initially released, and most people associated with the movie were basically blacklisted in Hollywood afterward. The director of Scarface refused to let her audition initially because he didn’t want “that girl from that awful Grease 2” in his movie. An associate convinced him to give her a chance, so he relented and allowed her to audition and the rest is history.

Tengo entendido que ella odia Grease 2 (aunque me duele, no puedo "culparla" totalmente) , pero por lo menos se ve que quiero mucho a Stephanie, y que le gustó cantar Coll rider. En sí, Grease 2 no es una mala película (a mí me gusta más que la primera, y no me avergüenzo de decirlo) lo único malo es que se aleja bastante de Grease 1, y por eso a la gente, no le gustó. Si hubiese sido una película de Grease pero sin llevar lo de "2", a lo mejor la gente la hubiera tolerado más.
