It's just gone chilly here in the Noosa Hinterland (not bad by NZ standards though only 5 of an evening), my missus said "the boys are making me feel frozen where they are"! The correct term is “contrails” They are caused by the water vapour in jet engine exhaust condensing and freezing into tiny ice particles at high altitude. There is no conspiracy to dose humanity with chemicals from airliners.
