The New Boat has BIG FISH MOJO

In this episode of The Lateral Line, the mission is simple: get a big kingfish on board the brand-new FlyFin 1900SC boat for an epic photo. It’s September, and finding a yellowtail kingfish in the shallows can be a challenge, but when you do, it’s often worth the wait. Against the odds, Milan hooks into a solid kingfish, and the action kicks off from there.
On Day 2, the focus shifts to a meat hunt. The boys hit the shallows again, casting soft baits in the hope of landing something fresh for dinner.

I Really enjoy watching your show here in west oz. Love to know what sort of gps/sounder you use to navigate etc as you don’t seem to have a plotter on the the boat. Also what sort of pdf do you use with the portable resqlink PLB? Is this something you have modified to watch the PLB as nobody sells this configuration (PLB attached to the PFD) in Western Australia. Maybe you could cover this stuff etc in a future episode. There is no sounder on the boat as not one of the sounder brands wanted to supply the boys at FlyFin with a sounder during the boat build process and we didn’t want to pay for something we don’t need. We have a phone holder/charger on the dash and keep a GPS app open the while underway for navigation. The life jacket is a DIY set up but we are about to team up with a company to supply life jackets with PLB’s attached soon. Watch this space. Chur chur for watching and commenting 😁😎

We don’t have a sounder in the boat 😁 no sounder company wanted to supply FlyFin with a sounder during the build to put into the boat and we didn’t want to pay for something we don’t need 🤪😂 we just run an app on the phone for GPS. Looking forward to hearing about the PFD with PLB fitted. I have also made a DIY option with a Crewsaver PFD buts its not perfect and clumsy as it's fitted around the lower part of the PFD to avoid obstructing its operation. 😀
