I see comments about hard priming and bad carburetors, these don't need to be primed and don't have carbs. I was given one because the propane feed hose got torn. Easily replaced it with off the shelf stuff, fixed in 10 minutes for less than $20. works good, much quieter than a 2 stroke and easter to start than a four stroke. great little rig, it's 12 years old now and works perfectly.

I've had no issues at all. But I tend to take care of my stuff a little better than most. I also hang up my trimmer on the wall whereas a lot of people throw them on the garage floor.

Purchased the Lehr powered Sears model 104.19212 several years ago. Added the oil as recommended and then I tried to start it. Blistered my fingers badly as it refused to stay running. Took it to the Sears repair center and after a new carburetor was installed (under warranty) it ran very well with only 3 or 4 pulls on the initial startup and one pull starting after warmup. After a couple of uses the hose from the LP canister started leaking. Sears Repair replaced the hose (under warranty) and I continued using it for several years. Last year when the LP canister was attached the regulator started leaking. Sears Parts sold a replacement I installed. Purchased several LP canisters before I found out they could be refilled. Purchased a refill adapter and now use it. The latest problem is the replacement fuel line has started leaking near the LP canister. The big problem with that is the Sears Parts Center has quit selling most of the replacement parts for these Weed eaters. Tried to get one through Lehr but their parts refers you to Sears. So in a possible fix for the leak problem I used Teflon pipe sealing tape to stop the leak. Wish I could find some replacement parts for this weed eater as it really work well for me even though it is heavier than the 2 cycle types. Evidently these were not very reliable and quite heavy for many users so they were discontinued. Too bad the dealers refuse to sell replacement parts.

My fuel line also broke, but I made a replacement fuel line if anyone still has one of these. Mine is 16 years old and still works great!

I don't feel the weight of it quite as much, but I can see your point about this not being a pro setup. Of course, my audience are 99% homeowners and I do recommend it for them.

Hi, you are lucky. I bought a trimmer, used it 1 time and it has never worked since. I called service, they tried to help by sending a new reg. It never worked and they wouldn't take it back. So I have a brand new piece of garbage. Hoping one day I can get it fixed.

Do you still have it? Want to sell it? Let me know!

Ours was a total POS. Intake valve broke on the second tank of propane saving me the hassle and expense of trying to buy repair parts for it. Now I know how the old man in the fuel bunkers of the Exxon Valdez felt in the movie Waterworld when he saw the flare coming.

Have you experienced any problems with the trigger assembly, the cage that holds the propane cylinder in place, or carb issues? I'm thinking of buying the Lehr ST025DS trimmer, but when searching online, I've come across quite a few people who have had problems with these things. A few mention that they are constantly having to make adjustments to the carb. I'm looking for something that will be relatively easy and simple to maintain. I'd appreciate any info you have or experiences you can share

I demoed one . Started leaking oil after the 3rd tank of the day. Its heavy. Like 18lbs. Arm pump killed my crew after 45mins. Landscapers can not use all day. Small women cant carry. Its a gadget until a professional company like stihl or husky R and D one. Stay way. It needs to be a backpack model. Like tanaka and petrol makes .

I had one. In short, it was a piece of crap. I'm still a two stroke man. At least until I find a cordless that can go head to head with my Tanaka TBC-260PFL Extended Reach and the RedMax's I use at work.

This is not a good trimmer it weighs a lot, for me and my crew. We do lawn care and I'll tell you this weighs a lot but mostly it took us like and hour to put it together. I'm returning this to the store!

There's a reason no one buys these anymore. They are Chinese junk. Just got one used that maybe had one cut on it and then the top of the motor cracked. Cheap plastic. Fiddly to prime and start. These things I'm finding are a real basket case. Good thing on only paid 5 bucks for it. I got it running but already about to throw it in a dumpster. What happened to yours? You still got it?
