Thanks for the great content, I’ve been using the Worx landroid for the past 2 years. The first year no issues, but this year I had issues with it jumping the boundary wire, but last week I bought used Husqvarna Automower. I’m excited for the next growing season.

I’m gonna sell the Landroid. 2021 shopped and researched and bought the Landroid from a Liquidator for $400, then last week I was out of town on a business trip and found a used Automower 115 (2019 model) on Marketplace. Now I need to purchase a Automower off marketplace.

I've had a robot mower for three years and I would like to add something on here. If you have any slopes the wheels can spin which tears up your lawn. I don't use mine anymore because lightning took it out.Your boundary wire is a large antenna for lightning.

I own an automower 430x. I've had it three years now and it's amazing. I have issues once and a while, usually regarding misc. objects in the lawn that it might get stuck on and also boundary line repairs. If you are handy i highly recommend it. My lawn, 1/2 acre, looks freshly mowed all the time and all i do is water and trim the edges. Basically, it gives me like 2 hours of freed up time each week. My lawn also is much, much healthier than before and looks like a golf course.

Time for automates sprinkler system! Only thing left is the trim. Which i dont see being automated for another hundred years. Final touches and trim is extremely difficult to automate, it may take even longer, 200-300 years to get something that complex.

Although that gave me an idea for an automated edger. Im sure the market abd public just isn't ready for that. People already contemplate 2k for a mower. An edger would be around the same price. Must more precise. I would guess a 2 in 1 system could ve made reasonably affordable in 100 years.

If you want technology only at such a high minimum viable product threshold, we would all still be waiting for the first iPhone, which by your standards, might be something like the iPhone 30. 😁 That kind of standard would also make consumers angry, since such a principle would require warranty servicing for simple problems, raising the price even more… …that, or insurance rates and deductibles. And then you could be without your gadgets for days, or weeks at a time. Is that the world you want to live in? Not to mention the fact such a principle maligns the consumer’s “right to repair.”
@RJeezy55
@RJeezy55 3 ай бұрын
@@HSTRTGMS Companies build trust and reputation over time by consistently delivering products that meet or exceed customer expectations. Intentionally releasing flawed products at a high price can quickly erode this trust and damage the company's reputation. In the age of social media and online reviews, negative feedback spreads rapidly, potentially harming future sales and brand loyalty. Consumer satisfaction is paramount for long-term success. While some customers might initially purchase expensive products based on brand name or marketing hype, if those products turn out to be flawed or unreliable, it leads to disappointment and dissatisfaction. This can result in returns, exchanges, or even legal action, all of which incur costs for the company and inconvenience for the consumer. The essence of a good business transaction lies in providing value to the customer. A high price tag for a flawed product undermines this fundamental principle. Consumers expect their investment to be justified by the quality, performance, and durability of the product. When flaws emerge, it diminishes the perceived value and can lead to feelings of buyer's remorse. Successful companies aim to cultivate long-term relationships with their customers. This requires not only delivering quality products but also providing excellent customer service and support. When flaws are discovered, how a company handles the situation can greatly impact customer loyalty. In a competitive market, consumers have choices. If one company consistently offers flawed products at high prices, consumers are likely to seek alternatives from competitors who provide better value for their money. This dynamic encourages companies to prioritize quality and innovation to stay ahead of the competition and retain their customer base. Building a successful business requires a commitment to delivering value, earning trust, and prioritizing customer satisfaction over immediate gains. Your Apple analogy is severely flawed as Apple has always released quality products in lieu of being the first to market with a new flawed product. ✌️

The Worx mower has a "comb" which is supposed to protect the blade from rocks. It's also quite front heavy and it puts most of its weight on that single wheel in the front. These things in combination makes the Worx mower prone to getting stuck. You can remove the comb, and that will make it less likely to get stuck, but there's still the issue of the single wheel. tldr just go with Husqvarna Automower

Its interesting that none of these companies used a back and forth pattern like vacuum robots. Especially since there’s a guide line telling it where the yard ends. But I forgot you laid down a sprinkler system and saw the dirt trails and was like man you made your yard into 4s for this video?? Then remembered lol. Also I see the ego! Did the old couple down the road return it? Just curious!
@TheLawnReview

Yeah supposedly the Luba does the back and forth pattern! Pretty expensive though in comparison to these models. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before they all cut that way. But yeah actually the husband accepted it and then the lady rejected it and I brought it back to my house! She said she didn’t like that it was self propelled. Go figure lol. I told her she could just not use it if she didn’t want to but she liked her mower better haha

The guide and the boundary is same tech, just applied differently in the software, this was a Husqvarna patent that just recently lapsed so other manufacturers can now use it. Anyway, the signal from the boundary and the guide is not enough to tell the mower where it is, it just tells the mower what side of the wire it is (inside or outside). There are boundary machines that does the pattern cutting put they are to sensitive for disruptions (Bosch Indigoo) and mostli for minimal lawns. Systematic cutting needs minimum two systems to work properly, kinematics and RTK or Kinematics and Camera/radar navigation. You basically need backups for the backup systems or the mower will frequently get lost.

Thanks for the great review. I am OCD about edging. If you place the guide wire around the edge of the lawn will trimming with a string trimmer be a problem ? I have a aged lawn with lots of thatch. I tend to bag rather than mulch. These machines only mulch. Not sure which way to go. Obviously the more expensive GPS machines solve the wire issue.

Im looking for a robotic mower which doesn't use a boundary wire. I have kids, horses and other animals in the grass area, a boundary wire would be destroyed pretty quickly. Oh, I forgot to mention that the yard is irrigated, so there are metal handles sticking up in certain spots where the irrigation pipe comes up out of the ground These are about 1-ft in diameter and surrounded by another 1ft of concrete. These are around the perimeter are where you don't normally get to, but do need to be cut around the irrigation outlet.

So for my grandparents who are somewhat technologically up to date, i will setup he mower for them, between the husky and the worx mower which one would say is better overall from start to finish for a smaller 1/4 acre lawn. The lawn is split up kind of between the 4 corners, the front section is the only runs which have a steep incline as the lawn tapers down to the road. I wad planning on either running a wire or whatever the prevent either mower to go down the steep incline running into their street... But overall for 70 plus year olds, already setup which mower? Or brand atleast is most reliable and easiest for them to use?

sorry,... Your lawn was not optimally prepared for this test. If you want to mow tall grass and uneven terrain, a Sthil robotic lawnmower would be a better choice. He has a solid and strong knife. However, most robotic lawnmowers first require a basic cut with a hand-operated lawnmower. Any unevenness that is too severe should also be corrected. I have been using the old Gardena model R40Li for 8 years and have had no problems with it.
