This team has been together too long. They have convinced themselves not to listen to the coach so things just repeat over and over. If you don't break them up nothing will ever change.

My comment here is this! Watching Vegas win the SC it was all about puck pursuit. Yes it was hard hitting but Vegas was so hard on that puck 9 times out of 10 they won the puck and created chances from that. They fought for it and won, if it was loose for a second they had it. It was amazing to watch! But they had that ability all year during that year. Now the leafs to be a heavy team is one thing, but puck pursuit has to be a focus, and control it once they have it! Far to many give aways, once you got control it! That's what I see!

I hate the excuses made for Matthews, he makes 13.5 million dollars a year, that's the biggest contract in the entire league. There's no excuse, if you want the big bucks, start earning it. Reinhart has 21 points and he makes 5 million dollars less. These prima donnas are super rich and they can't score. None of them deserve their contracts...spinning our wheels again. They better kick Boston's butts tonight and if they lose to Montreal again then it will show that they have no heart or desire. We've been humiliated long enough.

Players have been paid for achieving absolutely nothing. They know the coach is easier to move than those albatross contracts

Players get paid for having the skills that fill seats for 40+ home games, sell food & drinks at the arena, move merchandise & jerseys, turn on TVs at game time. Toronto may be the only place where it will sell out with a last place NHL team, but they are the only team. Those players are getting what they can get on the open market. Leafs have to compete for players with teams who have plenty of cap space to pay for a single Top 25 player.

Nylander, dogged it while play center so the coaching team would put him back to wing. He only wants to play wing 5 v 5 or PP. Offensive situations. Not interested in defensive play at all. Playing center requires defensive play. Easiest $11M in the league. Berube is no fool, he knows what Nylander is unlike the starry eyed fans.

the same 6-5-2 as last year.difference is our pk is better our defense is better. it's the pp that has dropped but that's a carry over from last season. this team looks better whole picture. matthews will come alive and the pp will get sorted then watch out.

Nobody wants to go to the net they are afraid. The St Louis game had so many rebounds but no body to the net. I don't want to hear but they had back to back. The bruins had back to back won both and a shutout in both games. Till they get a #1 defense men and a true 2nd line centre they ain't going anywhere maybe not even the playoffs. Get rid of Reeves and play a young guy from the Marlies.

the best team with this core was the first year's playoffs vs Washington...all stagnant from there...brought in hacks like Thornton, and others who never won anything,,,which is why I don't even watch the regular season other then the odd highlights, and will watch playoffs, and only game 6.
