One thing I learned from Lisa is how to properly apply to be a teacher and the right steps to take to become certified both temporarily and professionally. I also learned about cost and how time management plays a huge part in this process and how to keep jobs as future educators. One of the main things that was informative was learning how to become a teacher with a bachelor's degree as a non-education major. I majored in Theatre with a minor in Digital Communication.

I greatly appreciate this presentation. I'm an Art major and have been unsure as to what I would have to do in order to even be considered as a potential candidate. I have a bachelor degree and have zero teaching experience or education courses under my belt. This honestly sounds very difficult and daunting to jump through these hoops to then not even find a job opening in the field you can teach.

My college told me that I can only teach birth through age 8 with early childhood degree But learning from you all that I can teach school age as long as I get certified?

I have learned that for each class it should be $75 also that I have to pass three test to become a certified teacher

I am trying to get my teaching certificate, however I cannot pass the general knowledge test I do poorly on tests. Although that I have a masters in EDU ESOL
