My 1.5T made it too 137K 2 days ago and the head gasket failed. High octane gas(93), oil changes every 3500K since day 1. Trans oil and filter every 30k, and coolant flushed at proper intervals. Do not use any aftermarket coolant only use Honda coolant. Aftermarket 50/50 will cause your head gasket to fail. The 2.0 will fail head gaskets just not at the rate the 1.5 is. If you take care of your 1.5 you will make it to 130k-140k. If you pull a random p0300 you have coolant in the cylinders, if you have a p0303 or 02 it’s combustion gases and then eventually coolant will get into the cylinder. Be aware when you pull the misfire codes it is not a misfire(replacing the plugs will misfire again), 90% of the time it’s the head gasket causing the misfire. I paid the money for Honda to do my head gasket, by default they automatically do the timing chain, serpentine belt, seals and all components and injectors at no extra cost; well at least my local Honda does if they saw you have good history with your car.

This is solid advice. I have done everything you have done with the exception of lowering springs. My opinion is: 1. K-Tuner 2. Ethanol sensor 3. Intercooler / charge pipe upgrade. And to all the people who wonder how far they should go, these three things are a good place to stop. Heck, if you stop at #2 you will still have a car that is a blast to drive. I have used RV8 catted downpipe, and PLM catted. PLM isn't bad, and I can't tell the difference between the two performance wise. I still recommend RV8, as I have had some disappointments with PLM before. I've used 27Won 2.75" exhaust, and Thermal R&D 3.0" exhaust. I did not notice a difference in performance, but sound-wise I prefer the 27Won. I installed a Mitsubishi Stage II Turbo, and used e-Tune services from Phearable. It's tuned to about the limit of the stock HP fuel pump's capacity. I had to get those torque mounts due to wheel hop, and I believe they are definitely reducing (not eliminating) wheel hop. But man, the vibrations and rattles they induce SUCK. Yes, when the turbo spools up (around 3,000) things get exciting quickly. But steps 1-3 make for a very fun car to drive.

When I ordered my KTuner V2 from Phearable with the Stage 3 tune they included a whole part talking about k.con levels. "It's normal to see k.con values of .49-.69. If you are seeing anything over .80 for prolonged periods you likely need better quality fuel from a better source. If you have access to e85 and lack quality 91-93 octane you can add 1.5 gallons of e85 every time you fill up from empty." Hope this helps anyone with questions about the k.con levels! Elevation and where you live absolutely matters!!!

Great vlog as always. With a traditional converter it is called flashing your converter with a traditional converter you can change the stall speed which means if you have a 35 stall the vehicle will not move until it reaches thirty-five hundred RPMs or you can flash it which means stabbing the gas and usually meet means the car will flash maybe a little higher maybe a little bit lower it depends on your converter and the sizr . Also on a traditional converter when you get to the line you rub it out to clear the converter which gives you your proper stall speed. Basically depending on the stall speed of your converter their vehicle will not move under its own power until it reaches the 3,500 RPM threshold or 2,500 RPMs or 1500 RPMs for 6000 RPMs whatever your stall speed converter is basically whatever your camshaft intake carb or your turbo supercharger the converter stall is where your peak power comes in at for maximum RPMs

Thank you for your helpful video, I have a question though. I recently tuned my accord 2.0 with a ktuner stage 2. My k.con never gets higher than 0.59 when driving normally but when i push it it can reach 0.68. You've mentioned in previous videos that it's not that big of a deal but what im worried about is that the log is showing knocks and misfires about once or twice a drive which primarly happen when shifting gears or randomly even in econ mode. What I noticed is that cylinder 4 misfires randomly and cylinder 1 says it misfires after I shift. Is this something to worry about or do you think these are false readings. I havent gotten a CEL or heard the knock at all. I am running 93 octane currently with a k&n cold air intake.

Do you have any symptoms? Or is your concern strictly from the datalog readings?

@@TheLemonFactor what would some symptoms be? It drives the same and I have no sound of knocking. My AFR sits at 14 when cruising and goes to 10-12 when I push it

I’d recommend adding a gallon or two if E85 to a full tank of gas to see if you get the same datalog results, if you don’t get the same results and things improve, then it very well could be attributed to the gas quality and octane rating you’re using. If they don’t improve, then you may want to consider changing or simply checking and possibly regaping your spark plugs. All that said, and without having any symptoms, you may be fine - I have data logged similar events during hard pulls, without symptoms. Please note that I am by no means an expert in tuning on this platform. I would recommend connecting with someone who is.
