Book Facts: Shae doesn't mind that Tyrion is marrying Sansa. Book version, the Brave Companions(an absolutely murderous sellsword company I mentioned, whose leader Locke replaces)find it and put it in the pit. When Arya helps the Northmen take Harrenhal, they feed Ser Amory(the one who killed Yoren and was darted by Jaqen)to it. Jaime sleeps on the stump of a weirwood tree at a place called High Heart(which is where there was a massacre of the Children of the Forest and the destruction of their heart trees)and in doing so, he dreams strange things, being in the bowels of Casterly Rock, abandoned by Tywin and Cersei, with Brienne being the only one standing by him and defending him as the ghosts of Aerys's Kingsguard and Rhaegar Targaryen harangue and attack them. This resolves him to return and save Brienne. When Brienne asks why he returned, he sees her in her pink dress and thinks of several insulting things to say, but finally just says "I dreamed of you."(My main gripe with this episode was the removal of this line.) The bear actually gets killed to save Jaime and Brienne, but can understand it being removed.

Jamie and Brienne is a great example of how GoT puts two of the most unlikely characters together and make you want to see them more.

In the books, "The Bear and the Maiden Fair" is a song that Granny Tyrell has the fool sing -- very loud -- so she can have that honest conversation with Sansa -- well, honest on Sansa's side -- without being overheard. Using it as a title for this episode is rather appropriate. You may find the words to the song, and its naughty double entendre, rather amusing.

@risotto244Ай бұрын
if you look at it from the books point of view then Jaime has really changed, to be honest Aerys' reign broke his mentality, young Jaime was a completely different person if you compare him to season 1, so I would say that Jamie has changed several times
@GustavoCardoso95Ай бұрын
There is a very good scene in the first season where Jaime is trying to tell Ned why he killed Aerys. If you go back and watch it you can see in the acting that Jaime genuinely tries to connected with Ned there, but he is met with a cold wall of judgment. I think part of Jaime's persona up until his redemption can be blamed on Robert and Ned. They usurped the frigging throne and treat Jaime like this horrible person, but Jaime was THE ONLY ONE amongst Aery's KG that finally stood up to him and killed him. In a way, Jaime is more honorable than Ser Barristan Selmy, Gerold Hightower and even Arthur Dayne. They all served a tyrant and never batted an eye

@rinmathews9337 not have sex with his twin sister in a random winterfell tower. Wether you want to admit it or not, the Jamie we see at this point in the show has changed from what he was and will probably change some more, positively or negatively.

Shay character quite diffrent from the books. In the books she is pretty ok to remain Tyrions' mistress and have his children. Which is more realistic. Despite of Shay is not very smart and educated even she must understand that she is just whre and she can't be Tyrions lady-wife in Westeros. And if they leave across narrow sea Tyrion will lose all his wealth. So Tyrion probably end up juggling to feed themself in that scenario. I think in the show Shay such rebbelios to make more intense in their relations.

Remember that time Jamie tried to kill a kid and then had zero remorse for it? jk, that was 2.5 seasons ago, who cares? 😂 Jamie's story is tragic, but I'm what's great about it is that you see if people may have taken more time to look at the layers, Jamie could be a different guy now. He has always wanted to be ab honorable warrior...that's why he didn't kill Ned, that's why he feels the need to save Brianne. Makes you wonder how he would have been born to another family. I would not say Jamie is a good guy at this point in his life though... bad guy with some honor nostalgia. Maybe that continues if he never reunites with his family...guess we'll see! Theon... dunno. If those were my kids he burned I would say Ramsey hasn't gone far enough yet. Another tragic story there, but he's reaping what he sowed. Shae is ridiculous. Not her feelings, but her actions. She acts like she doesn't know the situation Tyrion is in...She doesn't want to be hos side piece, but ahe also won't leave. At aome point it's gonna be what it is and you've gotta make a choice. She keeps pressing him to make a decision his actions are already making, yet she won't make her own.

I’ve always felt that tv-Shae is just throwing a tantrum here. She’s not exactly the best at emotional regulation, yknow? Tyrion could never leave the Game. He loves it, and he’s good at it. It’s even more core to his identity than being a Lannister. He can’t go live a sleepy country life across the sea with Shae - he could drink, but no one would need him to Know Things.
