Thanks for playing my map! I was inspired by Puppet Combos night shift game, and had this idea for awhile. I tried my best to make an adaptable npc that I could use without using lua, so he just uses the default half life 2 citizen pathfinding. This causes the monster to bug out sometimes, as when he was in the parents room he was bugged. The other endings are calling the police, which you can do before finishing any chores. And the other ending is killing the monster.

Infra is a game you might enjoy. It involved being alone for most of the game in abandoned infrastructure and derelict underground spaces, wherein your character, some kind of engineer, photographs all of the things that are falling apart or damaged as a job. Its sort of an adventure through these spaces and it goes on for a long time. There's a variety of puzzles as well, but I think exploring the hidden spaces alone is entertaining to say the least.

It was so creepy and well done, until SCREAMER happened. I don't know, i just feel like people have a brilliant concept going on and then they just can't resist to " Try " to scare you when they actually already did through the atmosphere and tension. Every time a screamer or jumpscare happens it just completely destroys it, not to mention you already know what you are dealing with which only supports that decline of fear, but i loved your reaction when the shadowy figure approached you so fast. If they kept it at that and then make it disappear it would be fantastic cause you would think " Where did it go? WTF was that? " more questions than just " HUR DUR in your face! RESET " x D Good video once again!
@Alexscott203 жыл бұрын
Yeah, when creating horror its hard to balance everything. I thought the jumpscare would be complemented by the tension being built up, but I really could have made the jumpscare better.
@onlywithbuts17813 жыл бұрын
@@Alexscott20 That's actually cool you mention that, i was in fact thinking about the same thing. In the sense that usually when the creator works on a horror they might not get scared as much themselves because knowing what awaits them unless the system is unpredictable. I remember fooling around in GMOD with some NPCs that were horror related and those that had unpredictable patterns scare me to this day while the predictable just do the basic, so totally agreed. Always worth to push forward and present something new and i am glad you took it as a complimentary criticism as it was meant that way ^_^

There is a cop ending where you do actually call the police. You have to use the phone once the truck drives by (triggered via opening the dish washer or picking up dishes) and using the phone. After that, do the map as you normally would, but don’t get caught. Hiding in the bathroom cabinets (from my experience) causes the enemy to stop moving, so just step on the floor until it starts doing stuff. edit: make sure to call first, then do chores! :P
@HumanPerson_final3 жыл бұрын
I tried this repeatedly and it still wouldn't work. He moved a bit, but then stopped. The last time, he seemed to get stuck behind the bathroom door. I could see his hand if I peeked around the door. In the end, I just spawned in a shotgun and shot him. Now that just works.

It was always the same people inside but always a different car. I think they were gunna rob us when my parents left but because there were obvious signs of someone or people they never did anything. It would always happen the same way, my parents leave, a few hours later the people show up, they turn off their lights before hand so it was kinda hard to see them, then they would always park infront of my house. Sometimes a person who I assumed to be the wife would usually get out and check the house before leaving.
