I just love how they make the game where you explore, what makes it more fascinating is that is an ocean, and no one lives underwater in the ocean. So then it sparks interest, plus it’s new with different creatures and beings.

surface plants can be grown indoors, or outside above water on foundations, plants grow very quickly so even just 1 or 2 growbeds full of plants can have you set for the whole game. Chinese Potatos, lantern fruit, and bulbo trees are some of the best food sources in the game, and the best fish for food is the reginald (weirdo green guy with a strange mouth and big pink fin on the back) it's good to start a small breeding operation for them

Was earlier for me when he refused to pick up the blood oil for no reason. It.. doesn't unlock some recipes unless you pick up certain things, discovered that in my playthrough

SPOILERS Yeah time capsules are left by past players when you complete the game, they can be about anything really, some people leave very vague messages and hints and others just telll their experience with the game, no effect on the canon lore

Make sure you cut into the bulbo trees with your knife, if I recall they have some sort of seed or fruit that is a great source of water. I don't plan on dropping too many backseating hints, but that one could have saved your land expedition, so it seemed appropriate to point out. Also for some reason I always name my Seamoth the Scooty Puff Jr. I don't know why, I just think it makes the cutest little engine noises.

FYI you can eat the Bulbo Tree and take off as many pieces as you want. While waiting for a certain event to happen, they were my main food source

Propulsion cannons are a good first tier defense weapon. You can collect food with them or yeet crab shitheads into the ocean so they stop jumping at you lol. They also work above and below water on all small nuisances also you can pin/unpin recipes in the top right of your hud by right clicking on items in the fabricator or on your blueprint tab of your pda.

What would've happened if you left the reactor unfixed for more than 24 hours wouldn't have been permanent or damaged the wildlife. But the radiation around the aurora would have extended further to the point where it would be just outside your lifepod. and it would be much harder to get anywhere without a radiation suit. But of course it all dissipates after you repair the reactor.

I am honestly a little annoyed at the time capsule as that was a HUGEE Spoiler. It doesn't matter *too* much if you try not to look into it, but wow lol. Time capsules are collectables left from other people once the game ends, you can choose to put in, items or screenshots (or both I think?). But they're not important for lore, but some can contain good starter or endgame loot. I know you've already recorded 6 of these since the first episode, but if you encounter anymore, now you know :3 I'm absolutely LOVING you playing this, I'm so excited lol

some things i feel would help you that's hopefully not considered spoiling the game: creep vines (expect their clusters) are edible, the bulbo plant is also edible, extract the seed of the plants you want by cutting them.

Hey Librarian, a couple quick tips! There's a setting in gameplay to make it so that using the PDA will pause the game so you have plenty of time to read. The habitat builder is usually considered a late game item, but it's very good to create a small storage pod, greenhouse, or otherwise. That warper will be very crucial in the late game. Not to spoil anything, but it attacked you for a reason. That's all for now, hope you enjoy the rest of the game :3

Every time you repair a breach it doesn’t slow the rate you actually have to repair all the breaches in order to get it to stop spreading fully (max distance rads can spread is up to 950 meters from the reactor) also there’s cyclops upgrade module in the reactor room sticking out of the console when you first walk in
