If you were like me and did other stuff while listening, the first time he says his routine he says "I shower in the morning, then I do a little afternoon exercise and another shower.." etc. I can see how someone misunderstands and thinks he showers when waking up > afternoon peleton > shower. But later he specifies that his peleton exercise is in the morning, so they probably didn't listen too closely to that part.

Also how it's one of those annoying things that can vary person to person, there's no hard and fast rule. I am like NL, I shower minimum once a day and after exercising, I have developed a routine that allows me to not smell bad and also doesn't murder my skin; my wife also does not need to shower every day, she just doesn't tend to smell as bad as I do. Both of these routines are established through personal experience, and would not map 1-1 onto another persons life. I can come up to you and go "I do this and that and it works for me", I cannot come up and say "I do this and that and it works, therefore you should be doing that too, and if you're not doing it my way you're doing it wrong", which I feel is what a lot of twitch chatters do without realizing it

I tried an every other day schedule for *months* years ago because I was told my scalp would adjust. It didn't. It just made my hair absolutely disgusting to touch on no-wash days. Never again. I wash my hair with a gentle shampoo 6 days a week and skip shampoo every Saturday so i can wrap my hair up for the day in its natural oils, while staying home. My hair is healthy as ever, and also it's not a disgusting greasy mess that makes people want to avoid me. Wash according to your hair type.

I think the biggest difference is how much (if any) soap you use. It's the soap that unnecesarilly dries out your skin. If you're soaping up three times a day, that's probably bad for your skin, but rinsing off your sweat with just water? You can do that 10 times a day no problem. There is a way to organize data called a "hash table", where a bunch of data (these are called keys) get mapped to numbers (called values) using a deterministic process. For example, the keys could be a list of usernames. If you want to check if someone tries to register an account with the same username as a previous user, then you can figure out which value it maps to and see if it matches with a previous value (this is faster than checking the entire list of previous users). Usually, different keys map to different values. But things can get complicated if two different keys map to the same value (this is called a "hash collision"). The joke NL is making is that this person thought that their message would only be seen by one streamer, but there was a hash collision, so NL also saw the message. It is not just soap unfortunately, but the chlorine in the water itself too. Chlorine can dry out your skin and kill bacteria. However if your body does produce a lot of oils you should be fine.

The only time you need to shower is if you’re dirty or building up bacteria. How often that is depends on your own individual schedule. I workout daily, so I shower daily. The summers when it’s humid, I might take two. Never needed three (unless it’s before/after a swim). BTW, shower =\= soap n scrub (too much of that can obliterate your skin’s natural oils and protection)
