Enjoying your videos guys. Jervois Station brought back memories. I walked into there pulling a cart back in 1985 as part of my solo walk across Australia from Burketown to Glenelg and passing through the very heart of the Simpson Desert. Simon, that little smile didn't go unnoticed. Yes, you certainly do have 'unfinished business' in the Simpson Desert which incidentally is the largest parallel sand dune desert in the world. Safe travels.

Enjoy your videos. Great work. I find myself with hand on the volume control all the time. Have to turn it up when you speak so the I can hear and down for the music or get blasted out of my chair. Just a hint to check your volumes before posting.

Thanks for the feedback. There's a lot to learn with video editing! We've changed some of our workflow since this video was uploaded to improve the audio (amongst other things). Hopefully you'll notice the difference with some of our more recent vids 👍

Awesome job guys - Tobermorey was one our favourite stops too, my wife thought the Plenty Hwy was the most misnamed road we came across, other than plenty of potholes and bulldust haha

Yeah we agree. Still one of our favourite stations. Such a relaxing stop on a horrendous road 😆

Hi, My moustache has been growing since I was 18, now 63, It's a little more than fluff now 😂 ,Gee if it was me a would have ripped the wheel and drum of just in case it was more than dust, While still at station , Long way for help on that road, I always carry spares . Bearings etc. Here at gemfields Brolgas are quiet friendly. The true Australia, outback travel, In my younger days, I drove cattle, in the heat dry , so I've had a taste of early settler life. Enjoyed vid again, so funny at end 🤣🤣🤣 Regards Bevan from Sapphire Central Queensland 🤠🇦🇺

Great Video guys, we are looking at doing the plenty in July with a 17ft van. What tire pressures did you run across the gravel section if you don't mind me asking?
@TheLifestylePioneers2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Steffan. Can't remember exactly but usuallf for a road like this it's around 50% of our road pressures as a starting point. It varies depending on conditions

Hi I really enjoy your videos very down to earth. Could we see some of your art work please.
@TheLifestylePioneers3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Garry. Liz hasn't had the chance to do as much art as she'd hoped so far, but as soon as she does, we'll be sure to show more of it (the two in the caravan are Liz's works as well).

Simon, Liz another great video. Can I ask, with the StoneStomper attached, whty do you still have the 'stone guard' on the van? we are waiting for our van still, and was considering getting the stonestomper, but removing the stone guard on the van, mainly for weight. Thanks Mark
@TheLifestylePioneers3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Mark and good question! We have experimented with and without the stoneguard and also with and without the mudflaps (on the bottom of the stoneguard). We find there are still some stones that make it past the edges of the stone stomper (although it certainly stops most of them) and without the stone guard they can hit the front of the caravan.
Hey Legends, still enjoying your vids, keep it up 👍🏽Quick question please. We have put a deposit down for same van, however am worried regarding the length. We had a hybrid lifestyle 13ft previously. Do you feel it impacts your choice of destination much? Really want the size as have a 13 and 8 year old girls, but I keep second guessing the decision due to the length. Cheers :) 😀
@TheLifestylePioneers3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the support. To be honest I don't think it really has that much impact on where we take it. Some places aren't suitable for towing, but it wouldn't make a difference if that was a small trailer or a caravan in most cases. I think once you start going above 22ft caravans it might have more of an impact as not a lot of sites are big enough

We were enjoying your channel but lately you seem to do a lot of talking featuring your faces while you are describing what is around you. It would be MUCH more helpful to actually see what you are talking about more. It’s become so frustrating we decided to unsubscribe. It’s not that we don’t want to see you at all, but a travel based channel should show the scenery more than the hosts don’t you think?
@TheLifestylePioneers2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. We'll take it on board for sure. I think our more recent videos are probably edited a little more as you're describing. Like everything, it's a balance, and our style isn't going to suit everyone.
