Your fall protection equipment keeps you safe, but only if it is in the proper working condition. If one piece fails the results could be catastrophic. In this series we show you how to inspect your fall protection gear. In this video we look at Synthetic SRLs and lanyards and what removal criteria looks like. Inspecting your SRL and lanyard before each use can prevent death, injury, or in the very least an OSHA citation.

Please provide the inspection outcome in the event of a lanyard or harness being contaminated by paint

If there is paint on your lanyard or harness it will fail a visual inspection. This is considered chemical contamination.
