I just found your post as I’m working on decoding this song for myself, in full hermit mode as usual… and found far more than I bargained for. You smart, lovely, crazy people have truly made my day 🥰

Wonderful stuff, and A* for the spanish pronunciation! Those ZZZs and RRRs were on point!

Charming! An unusual metre, which comes out in performance, but it wouldn't have been indicated that way in the original. #SingTheScore is a wonderful idea.

Lovely! No problem for a Finn to count 5! Our Epic Kalevala is in 5/4.

I'm fiinding that most inexplicable things Robert says can be explained by googling either "monty python " or "profanisaurus ". HTH

I love these videos, but getting increasingly irritated by the interrupting ads that KZbin has inflicted on them

Many thanks for this informative and very entertaining video. I wonder if you could share your source for the score? My upper voice group Libricini very much want to perform a version of this piece at a concert in October. Between myself (the musical one) and my pal Val (the techy Sibelius Queen) we can usually re-arrange things ourselves, but the scores on CPDL are so way off the mark that they don't seen bothering with. Happy to donate for pay a fee if you can help.

Simple and gorgeous - thanks to a clever composer and clever performers. Reminds me strongly of the Josquin "In te domine speravi". Is there any influence/link between the pieces?

Too many Basques in one exit? I don't get it.

It refers to the saying "Don't put all your eggs in one basket." Perhaps there's a variation such as "Don't put too many eggs in one basket"?
