Oh Bev my heart goes out to you. I too lost my sweet son at age 25 in a work accident. He loved the holidays and loved me to decorate. So I make sure I honor him each holiday with all the beautiful things he loved , using some of the things he made as a child. I’ve already started listening to Christmas music I always baked his favorite cookies at Christmas. He always was there waiting for the first pan to come out of the oven. I’ve been so fortunate to have never lost a child. But it has to be the most difficult thing in life to experience! Bev, I just found you on KZbin and have fallen in love with your decorating style!! Fall colors are my favorites so I have a tendency to use them all year! I love the way you layer each piece as well. I’m so sorry for your loss and cannot imagine losing a child. I lost the love of my life 6 yrs ago. I thank God for the wonderful 49 yrs we shared. I sold my house and moved in with my daughter but I’m thinking now I might need to move to an apartment just so I can decorate! Bad thing about this is I sold everything and would have to start over.
