This video is a collection of seasonal patterns for river smallmouth, the species that I have covered more than any other. It ranks within the top 15 in terms of view count. It is one of my earliest examples of the "how to" fishing video content.

I've watched this video 3 times over the last 8 or 10 years. It's a good one. We did well on the Potomac today the wind was killer. Fish on!

Glad to hear of some good smallmouth fishing on the Potomac. The recruitment there has not been great. Maryland DNR stocked smallmouth in the upper Potomac last year because they were that concerned that the spawns have not amounted to anything in years.

Potomac has fished better this year than the past years. Still not what it was. The Potomac around Brunswick was fire 10 Years ago. The numbers aren't great 12 is a good day now but is still has some pig's. We fished Shepherdtown twice in last month had 6 over 18". We need rain

You're right about the spawn I don't catch many dinks on Potomac anymore.

Thanks Frank. Smallmouth is my largest playlist. Scroll through that playlist. Most of the episodes are filmed on the Susquehanna River, but other rivers include Shenandoah, Potomac, Rappahannock, Juniata.

Wish they would have catch /release here in Renovo area on Bass ... They fish out nice Bass and leave under 12 inch or smaller ... Just like deer hunting here ruined with all doe tags and kids not seeing deer ...
