6 Years Later! & I have just now realized that this song can be taken as an Anxious/Avoidant attachment dynamic where one person (Spooky) has extremely bad trauma & refuses to open up to an outsider & thus throws all of those walls (Doors) up to protect themselves while the other (Male Protagonist) anxiously hyperfixates on the situation at hand trying to find closure, some of these lyrics can hint at the Protagonist having ADHD & Spooky having BPD as she becomes increasingly more overwhelmed while the protagonist runs himself to the ground, breaking through all those walls & horrors being thrown at him while Spooky tries to keep herself safe, pay attention to 0:46-1:46 It's not until 2:25 that Spooky finally opens up about her pain thus forming a mutual understanding for both "The hallways got longer & all the walls have turned red" = Distance, Rage, Hatebombing 1:01 "So many doors, so many questions" = Panic & Overstimulation 1:32 "My eyes are getting heavy & I just want it to end" = Emotional Burnout 1:36 "I'm losing my grip on reality" = Paranoia & Delusion 1:40

This also implies that yes, there were others alive in the mansion during the main play through. Another thing, specimen 9 can also appear if you spend too long afk, or in a single room I think.

Obviously this isn't canon, but imagine if at the end it turned out that the mansion was just one big hallucination? Like the mansion is real, but it doesn't really have a secret lab and a thousand floors, it's just a ruined old mansion haunted by the ghost of a little girl (Spooky) and those who enter are drawn into an illusion that makes them think they're going through a thousand different floors when in reality they're just going in circles until eventually Spooky gets bored and kills them.
