Being without power is certainly one of the most frustrating (but not devastating) experiences a homeowner can go through, especially when it’s either hot out or cold out. It sounds like you didn’t lose any of the food in your refrigerator/freezer, which is always the thing I’m concerned about.

I use a candle snuffer to put my candles out. I never blow them out because of the soot. I hope you both had a Merry Christmas! Much love from Florida 😊

Reminds me of the 70s when we had power cuts & we use candles around the house, go to toilet with a candle on a small template to go for a wee 🤣🤣🤣

What a horrible storm, but you both dealt with it so well & were very resourceful. I'm so proud of you both😊 We've had the opposite prob in Vic Oz. Bushfire has burnt 75,000 hectares, many towns were evacuated. Fortunately weather conditions have changed, but it's predicted to keep burning for many weeks. Big heaps of love to you both ❤️

We had hurricane Fiona 2 years ago here in Nova Scotia I was without power for 4 days , some people didn’t get it back for 7/days hope that never happens again

OMG Nick and Leigh the vlog with the Meta quest 3 we watched and my husband ended up buying one for Christmas , best buy ever it’s amazing we love it and yes it does make you feel abit sick but it’s best buy ever and it’s like been on a rollercoaster without even having to go to a theme park. Love your vlogs and so lucky to have met you both. Xx

We can feel the pain. Our house is completely electric, with no gas, so power cuts are a nightmare here! A couple of years ago, we had no electricity for over 5 days. Luckily, we have 3 log burners throughout the house and are experts now at cooking on top of a log burner 😂❤

I guess this is the same weekend we had problems, we live in a mobile home surrounded by woods and we had no power, so no water, no mobile phone signal etc etc from 5pm on the Saturday until 9.30pm on the Sunday, it was such fun!!!!!!!!

Don't mention bad weather. It's been raining all week with a few thunderstorms that knocked our power out wice here and this weekend we're looking at severe weather.
