Wonderful scenery. Navajo is pronounced Navahoe. It's taken from the Navajo Indian tribe. Those small creature you were seeing are Gophers. Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip. I'm thoroughly enjoying watching your travels.

Yes - the red dirt gets everywhere. What a beautiful place. Nature is amazing and we are so fortunate that so many of these places are under the protection of the National Parks etc. Altitude makes a difference and causes you to struggle for breath. I was a wee bit concerned with the rain - flash flooding is such a high risk in the canyons. Thank you guys for sharing the journey.

If those "squirrels" are very small, they're chipmunks. If they're about the size of real squirrels, they're gophers. I agree with Leigh that cooler, greener natural scenery is SO much better than the sensory overload of a place like. Las Vegas. Nick, my wife and I were so excited when you pulled into Ruby's! That's where we stayed when we visited Bryce Canyon. We recognized a lot. Glad the rain stopped enough so you could both enjoy the beauty and wonder.

Thanks for this, Loving the recent vlogs as it brings back my memories of my trip a few years ago that started in Vegas and went to a number of National Parks in miltiple states, but we were lucky and it was gloriously sunny - sad you didn't get to see Bryce in all its glory - its amazing! Did worry about the rain - as it was something we were warned about (def in Zion, not so much Bryce as we didn't go near river) as flash flooding is quite a worry - we were in Zion a couple of days after one that had actually caused deaths

I must say this is my favorite trip you two are doing, love all the videos but this road trip is spectacular. I grew up in Arizona and I know exactly what you mean by describing the cool weather and the smells of pine and juniper. That segment of Bryce Canyon in the misty wet weather was perfect and that's definitely the most refreshing way to see the canyon because when its sunny and hot that canyon just kicks your butt as with Moab and Zion National Park. Again, I grew up vacationing in the four corners states and you guys bring back memories as I'm now living in Hot as hell Houston. Thanks for the videos and keep traveling.

You honestly have no idea how red those rocks are unless you see it with your own eyes. I went to Moab, Utah in 2003 and even today, those colours have stayed with me. We went on an evening riverboat light show along the Colorado River which was spectacular. Never been to Bryce Canyon, but it looked stunning. I have visited the Grand Canyon, another amazing vlog coming up I think.

Love this trip. Me and my partner are going to America and doing the same route as you in march. We are getting a cruise america rv and if you go through an agency (we are using trailfinders) you can get the rv for 26 days and flights to and from home and 4 days in Vegas for just over £4000 which isn't too bad.

I see plenty of other people have already corrected you on the pronunciation of Navajo and told you that those are chipmunks, so I won’t do that. And I’ve heard that Bryce Canyon is pretty stunning, and clearly that is the case. I certainly wouldn’t want to be caught in a hailstorm, though!

I'm in the middle of watching your vlog. I wanted to stop and say that Navajo is pronounced nah-vah-hoe with the emphasis on Hoe. The Navajo are band of indians (Native Americans). And to tell the difference in a stalagtite and a stalagmite, remember this saying: stalagtite, you have to hold on tight, stalagmite might grow to the ceiling.
