3 years ago I started using New Wash (Hairstory.com) to clean my thick wavy full head of hair. It is far superior to any product out there. It cleans without stripping. My hair is very manageable, feels like silk and if I wanted I could use it everyday without that flyaway dried out feeling you get from detergent type shampoos. Not to mention that dry flaky itching scalp shampoos and conditioners create, even used sparingly. I could go on and on about it but the best finish I could make is that you should buy it and use it. They don't make a conditioner because you don't need one. I'm not affiliated with HairStory I'm just a guy with great hair who found the best product for my hair....and yours.

Does it dry out the hair, or does it still keep the natural oils while removing the extra grease?
@showmaker8886 жыл бұрын
For me I'm using head & shoulders with mint because that's the only shampoo that I can use to remove all the dandruffs So I don't know about the dry shampoo if it works for me especially I have a dandruffs problem So any suggestions from you the longhairs ? I thank you so much and I'm just newly subscriber to ur channel!

I need to invest in dry shampoo. They are quite simple its normally like corn starch. I tried using baby powder / talcum powered but that did not work well. I must try some dry shampoo.
@TheLonghairs8 жыл бұрын
I've heard about the baby powder thing before. Sounds like an option if you're in a real pinch.
@thingyee11188 жыл бұрын
I tried it in a real pinch it just left my hair looking grey and I it kinda stuck in there. I ended up washing hair and then blowdrying it on cold for 20mins or so.

Dry shampoo can work wonders, but the man thing I've found is that it really can help in holding your hair up in a bun or another style where "slippery" hair can be an issue.
@TheLonghairs8 жыл бұрын
Nice point! Going to try that for sure
@Xanduur7 жыл бұрын
I don't use dry shampoo very often, but xingcat is right, it helps us with straight and slippery hair.

why dont you do some headbands for men? like for sports and idk casual looks
@SithkalekGolfAndGaming7 жыл бұрын
I support this, I like wearing headbands. I like to keep them thin and not think. I hate having the comb things in there. they hurt like a bitch, I have found some with a sponge like padding on the bottom and I like those. they don't hurt and I can wear them all day. I typically only wear black.

What's your take on dry shampoo paste? New to long hair here. Got a haircut on December, but it grew during quarantine while we were in lockdown (it lasted FOREVER on my neck of the wood) and have been thinking about keeping it long, so any advice will be very appreciated.

@LegendaryGoetz8 жыл бұрын
Sam Clark depends what kind of humidity you live in. Your scalp is the fruit to healthy hair. Using water only is playing a risky game. You mind end up having a dry scalp or the hair shaft might not be getting the treatment it needs.

The Longhairs Nothing but H2O, natural oils seem to balance. My hair used to get oily within one or two days when using shampoo and conditioner, now it's less knotty, greasy and dries way faster too. I just wash it as you would with shampoo but just with water.

Hey love the videos I'm 16 and I've had long hair for most of my life and plan to my whole life I've always been the boy with long hair. I have really oily hair so I normally have to wash it every other day or every 2 days but I think I'm going to give dry shampoo ago to see if I can't get a little more time in between washes
@katparks46315 жыл бұрын
The dry shampoos made my head itch like crazy definitely not for me!The best method for me was to wash my hair with baby shampoo then I sprayed a mixture of half water and half vinegar all over my scalp and then I apply my conditioner. I take my shower and then I rinse my hair really good. I only have to wash my hair every seven to 10 days. I no longer get the oil strip down the center of my scalp.

My hair is not oily, like I will have to not wash my hair 4 days to get half of your hair oil in 4 days. And my hair is very fluffy because of this. I would rather to have an oily hair then fluffy one to be honest.

I work long days in a professional B2B environment, I can definitely attest to dry shampoo. When I get home I just wanna spend time with the kids and most of the time I just shower and don't have time to wash my hair. Also, sometimes, I'm just lazy as Funk! Of late there's been a couple of times I've gone a week without washing and my hair gets dank! I've used a couple of generic brands like Batiste and Aussie which work fine. The one I use most is 'Rockaholic' by tigi but the one that has really got me out of a pinch lately is 'New Mum' by Cussons. During my normal routine of washing 3 - 4 days I can generally push it and extra day by using the 'Conditioning Style Cream' by Man Cave.

Cool. My hair abit longer than yours never tried dry shampoo, may have to give it a try. I should make a video response but here goes. What I use first I completely stop using shampoo & conditioner that has suflate stuff after reading up on effects. So, I use renpure argan oil shampoo & conditioner or the everstrong thickening sulfate free (everstrong is bit expnesive about $10 for small tube) Renpure like under $5 bucks per bottle. I wash my hair twice a week not everyday, reason is because if you wash your every other day more than twice, your hair will dry out cause dandriff also head lice. Yes, that's head lice, it's attracted to clean hair more than to hair that's not. Go google it read up on it. Well, I wash it I pretty much let air on it's own or blot it with a towel still let it air dry. I usually wait a few hours after drying and I put back in a tail call it a day. If I don't use renpure I do the No poo thing, still let it air dry now what I use get rid of apple cider vinegar(salad smell) or from argan oil. Take one squirt a dime size amount of Mane & Tail conditioner, and massage through my hair. This is also a leave in conditioner. Next, you are a the drug store read back label of it. I don't use mane & tail as a normal conditioner, mainly use it a leave in plus another alternative than dry shampoo. Which, I haven't tried yet. Cool, thing about mane&tail leave in conditioner it gets rid of frizzy hair.

I've had long hair for 12 years now and only started using dry shampoo about one and half years ago and I don't know what I'll do without it honestly haha. They are a huge time saver and allows you to go longer without properly washing your hair. I now only deep condition and wash my hair once a week (same day) and use dry shampoo throughout the week when I feel the oil build up on my scalp and roots. It works great if you work out and worked up a sweat, spray some on the roots once you're done and brush out the excess powder. The only downside to the dry-shampoo sprays are that they are not exactly cheap, especially if you use them frequently. So I buy pack of 12 at a time from Costco when I get the opportunity.
@TheLonghairs8 жыл бұрын
Awesome Shiba! Thanks for sharing that. What brand do you use? I want to look for it at Costco

Hi, I'm in the UK so I don't know if you'll have it in the US but I use the Batiste dry shampoo (British brand). I tried couple of other brands before settling for this one, you can get some really horrible ones out there which leave your scalp feeling irritated.
