I am onto my second build for my main character which requires almost every piece to be a legendary piece for the mods and perks, so I am farming teir 13 expeditions for legendaries. I recommend completing every expedition at least once because it will expand the loot pool. I still haven't seen some items which is most likely because I haven't completed eye of the storm.

Loadouts + locking fav items They go hand in hand, if we are going to be carrying around gear for multiple loadouts for multiple builds and still be able to use 'dismantle all' option we need to be able to lock the gear for our loadouts so it doesn't get dismantled or sold with the rest. I hope they aren't holding back on loadouts to only add it later in a paid expansion (I'm all for an expansion but QoL essential looter-shooter features shouldn't be used to force us to buy an expansion)

I love the way outriders treats legendaries as simply cool looking gear with a teir 3 mod. The fact that you can take a green and make it better than that legendary you found makes me wish this was the route the likes of destiny and borderlands would take. And the fact you can change the weapons appearence to look more appealing is amazing too. You can simply just take a common and make your own epic weapon and that is amazing

You forgot about the Set Bonus of some legendaries. They can be substantial too!

You can collect loot from the lootboxes in Drop Pod missions without clearing the whole thing. Just hit "retry" and there is a chest in the area you start the challenge. If you can't retry, there is also a lootbox right next to the drop pod in the camp area when you leave the challenge. It's actually super fast to collect gear that way as well since there are so many "boss" mobs early into challenge tiers.

Good video bro.. I'd like to add that you can force mods on gear and weapons and its really simple to do so. If you have a uncommon(green) gear or weapons you can improve rarity to common(blue) and mod the first slot. Then when you upgrade to epic(purple) and you see the 3 choices they offer you if it's not what you want simply quit out of the game immediately. The game will not save and you get your original green piece or weapon back! Rinse and repeat until you force the game to give you exactly what you need.

That's definitely the most efficient method. I also go back to Eagle Peaks to the point where you last talk to Jakub where I farm the 7-8 chests there with no enemies in site. It's mindless but I listen to other things in the meantime. Its great to start filling out those attributes.

@@KawabungaDude Its mindless but you get 8 chests to open. Got to Eagle Peaks, pick the last mission "talk to Jakub...", open the 8 chests, quit to lobby, reselect the same mission, rise and repeat. Sometimes I'll listen to other things while I'm doing this to farm for scrap, mods, the right attributes, etc. The upgrade expense is too expensive I find.

Good info to get out there. Also one extra thing to mention: the lower the level and rarity of an item, the cheaper it will be to improve the attributes with shards, which makes it even better to craft low then improve level

What’s missing is the random chance for Tier 3 mods to be assigned when improving the rarity of item. As it is now, you can’t create a final version of gear that has two tier 3 mods from upgrading alone. Gear can drop that has a tier 3 mod and then you could reassign another tier 3 mod to the other slot, but is still limited in what we can do. They need to give us the ability to change the attributes as well 😜

It's important to understand that skill T1 mods dont roll on every single piece. For example, the valuable Earthquake mods like Bloodshock ***only*** rolls on helm, quake damage and +1 quakes roll on gloves. I was hunting a pair of boots with any of these quake mods so I can replace a health roll with a 5th anomaly power roll since I'm using Strict 3 set bonus pieces... until I noticed it literally doesn't exist. I had to just take the health roll on the chin, and move some mods around to min max with what was possible. Don't get caught hunting a red herring, be very careful with what rolls where and plan accordingly.

something you could add if you wanted is that when you collect a piece of gear of each section like head, chest, legs, hands, feet that after you improve rarity and dont like the mod selection you can just dash board the game come back in and redo the item over and over till you get the mod you want cutting back the time you spend out farming for new items and just work with what you have collected already

Sometimes you can alt -f4 out of the mod upgrade step/screen and reload in and try again. Sometimes it results in an epic with 1 mod. Most of the time you can roll the mods again.

Someone else may have mentioned this before, but the greens are even better to farm. If you get the three attributes you want, when you upgrade the rarity to blue, you can pick between three tier one class mods you probably can use in your build. Then improve the rarity again and replace the random tier 2 mod with whatever you want that improves your gear exponentially. It just decreases the randomness even further.

For amor the vendor in trenchtown right next to your base is really good he has a lot of blue amor look for right attributes and then just use the Trick with hard closing the game to role the right mods

from what I've learned with my small time with the game is; 1: farm for blues above level 20 so that they have all 3 attributes 2: ignore what mod they have, it can always be swapped out for one you want 3: focus on the attribute combo on the item that you want most for your build 4: level up that blue item to 50 before upgrading to rare so leveling is cheaper, save, maybe exit to lobby before the rare upgrade. 5: Save scum when upgrading to rare, until you get a 2nd mod that you want. 6: Increase attributes last after level and rarity. 7: repeat steps 1-6 for all other armor and weapons. 8: pray to the gods of Enoch that we get a transmog system as well as a gear favorite/lock system at some point. for gods sakes, borderlands has had a trash and fav system from the start, its should be here also. last thing you want is to accidently dismantle or sell that great gear you were focusing on.

Just fyi after increasing rarity when the 3 mods pop up, if you dont get a mod you want, dashboard or quit the game without saving and the increase in rarity won't save and you can repeat until you get the mod you want.

If you save the game right before you upgrade and you dont get the right mod you can close app and try again with the same bit of armor/wepon saves a bit more time/materials having to farm things with the same attributes

Im pretty sure if you upgrade the rarity with zehide from common to rare and get your first mod if its not a mod you want reset the game and go to remod and it will give you different mods
