Nice. Such magical raw talent in those early years. Too bad John and Paul discovered their stark differences once their styles matured and began to reflect their individual tastes. That moment their magic as a band was lost. Thanks for sharing.

100% agreed and I’ve been saying this for years. Most people look at like I have two heads, but to me this is an undeniable fact. That sparkling magic and cohesion had started to erode, so much so that I rarely find myself reaching for anything past Magical Mystery Tour. Obviously it’s The Beatles, so certainly there are plenty of gems on The White Album, Abbey Road and Let it Be but to my ears, by then their music largely sounded like it was created by a band that really didn’t get along with one another any longer and were diverging personally in too many critical ways. Which they were.
