i could just hear the bells and jingles clanging while the men screaming, everyone dancing, the fireburning bright, the pickle man selling snow cones by the cars, and when its the clowns song everyone goes crazy and it starts pouring rain........thats my childhood back in the days san carlos Apache

"So there was this one time" back when I was a young man, and I was in the back yard with my brother and cousins, and they were singing and dancing to a song that sounded just like this very song. It makes me think of our ancestors and if they look down at us and wonder if we will live on believing the old ways of the Guh uh and remember that it is up to us to preserve and adapt to the modern way and evolve our culture and language. I fear some days that our language and culture will disappear in time, my brothers and sisters. Teach your children the old ways, show them to not be ashamed of the apache way over the Jesus way. We were once people of the earth, not property and belongings. Please teach your children this way. Marry in the traditional ways with horses and jewels of our land. Especially from my brothers and sisters that have the peridot on their land. Let our culture live as our ancestors fought for.

As a mexican I reaaally admire all native american nations and I feel sad for us mexicans because all our ancestors traditions were erased by conquerors and priests, so we know just few things about our ancestors dances, ceremonies, etc. Just to emphazise ur statement... PLEASE KEEP YOUR TRADITIONS AND MOTIVATE NEW GENERATIONS TO PRACTICE THEM. GREETINGS FROM MEXICO BROTHERS

It is the Pine Tree singers. Im a half blood. I sang this song with them once. I gotta tell the apache people, THANK YOU for accepting me for who I am. For you all to look past my skin color and accept me as apache, means that I will die to preserve what we have! It is a beautiful culture! And it belongs to you and only you!!
