Izzy’s a real warrior, man. Dude’s always been active, never ducked anyone. He even stepped up to fight Pereira, one of his biggest nightmares, knowing he might lose. He could’ve said no, and nobody would’ve blamed him since he was the champ, but nah, he faced his fears like a real one and took the challenge. He’s not in the goat conversation. The conversation is about 4 people. He wasn’t even the best in his weight class. You can’t be in the hot debate and not be the best in your weight class. One of the greatest mw EVER? Yes. He’s not better than Silva, so no, can’t even say he’s in the conversation and I am a Izzy hater turned fan. But no, he’s not. He’s not in the same conversation as jones, fedor, Mighty Mouse, silva, or GSP.

Izzy was a good champion man and fought a lot of people. I know people knock him and I know he’s got his weird ways and stuff but at the end of the day man the dude‘s putting it all on the line for our entertainment and I appreciate it even though I’m not a big Izzy fan but at the same time, the two big dogs that got in each other’s way They got humble and they had to eat some humble pie and what better way to put your big dog attitude to the side, then to get that ass humble and that’s what happened to both of them and it worked out good. It worked out good because they could actually see each other for who they truly were instead of letting competition get in the way And I think that’s what hurts a lot of fighters is you become this mental wall of aggression and marking your territory, sometimes it hinders your development.
