As someone who plays hog: something people don’t talk a lot about is “hook priority”. Hook can cancel abilities and ultimates, which can save your team… a lot. Priority hooks: mercy rez, reaper ult, phara ult, rein charge, almost any ult (most are hook cancelable) you get the point) Don’t just hook to hook, use when you know the target will die or to cancel a dangerous ability

11:22 I personally think he does belong as a tank. He’s just an off tank and the 5v5 change aged like milk. Roadhog is perfect they just need to bring back 6v6. So many tanks have been neutered by this change and Roadhog isn’t even close to the worst case

My Overwatch days are done but I will remember Roadhog being primarily my main character! He's essentially an exceptionally husky Doom style FPS character. Powerful weapon, tanky tools & a surprisingly potent ultimate if the timing is just right! Though simple to play; Roadhog can be played in a variety of ways despite being a Tank! & this is what made Roadhog fun!

I've mained Hog since the early days in OW1. So I've seen the ruts this character has been through. Now I think he's "fine". Hog is kind of one of those characters where if he's good he's uber-good and if not then he's just mid or kind of bad.

I think roadhog dosen't have much of a place as a character in overwatch as tank or damage but i think tank fits him better since the breather reduces damage and allows him to fill the one niche he has: survive and hook people sometimes.
