The example of Noah a.s. is not how long the Mahdi a.s. will rule. The lesson behind the story of Noah a.s. is that if the Mahdi a.s. were to provide humanity with a prophecy and it was not fulfilled in the way we expected , it is not a reason to disbelieve in the Mahdi. And for the story of Job a.s., the lesson is that if the Mahdi a.s. were to be struck with a calamity, it is also not a reason to disbelieve in the Mahdi a.s.

Such prophecy is protected. There is no room for impostors. Secondly he will demonstrate that he has knowledge coming from beyond the realm of the mortals, like irrefutable facts that had been hiding in plain sight, or events in the future, and is able educate everyone on truths and distortions among all religions. Thirdly he calls to the rulership of God making zero compromises in regards to the divine order of things which is the only order that can bring forth harmony. Only God can appoint the ruler. No man can appoint himself. I hope it's clear.

The only reason that God was merciful to Nineveh at the preaching of Jonah, is because they all repented in sackcloth and ashes from the greatest to the least of them. Abdullah Hashem Aba Al-Sadiq (From Him is Peace) has fulfilled many of the prophecies of the Mahdi and what he would do and accomplish. His name in written in the Will of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH & His Family), in which Prophet Mohammed (PBUH & His Family) lists out the names of his successors after him, the 12 Imams and the 12 Mahdis after them. “Then there will be twelve Mahdis after him, so if death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, the first of the Mahdis, he has three names, one like mine and my Father’s and it is Abdullah (Servant of God), Ahmed (the Praised), and the third name is Al-Mahdi (the Guided), and he is the first of the believers.” - Ghaybat Al-Tusi, Al-Shaikh Al-Tusi, Vol. 1, p. 174; Bihar Al-Anwar, Al-Allamah Al-Majlisi, Vol. 53, p. 148 Since the writing of this Will, nobody has claimed to be the “Abdullah” mentioned in it except for Abdullah Hashem Aba Al-Sadiq (From Him is Peace) and that is because it is a Will that is a protection from misguidance. Imam Al-Sadiq (From Him is Peace) said, “This matter will not be claimed except by the rightful owner, or else Allah will cut off his age.” - Al-Kafi, Al-Shaikh Al-Kulayni, Vol. 1, p. 373, Bihar Al-Anwar, Al-Allamah Al-Majlisi, Vol. 25, p. 112
