You know despite this all, I have to say I think MainManSWE is a big reason why I stuck to Tekken. Everyone has their faults (and while I can forgive not wanting to play against certain matchups or players due to preferences, the ALT-F4ing is something that is absolutely shitty), and I can see that. I’ve never watched his streams, and I usually just let his videos play in the background while I play with my friends or play ranked. The few times I really pay attention to his videos is when I want to see what sort of things he uses in neutral or how he combos so I can get a better grasp of what moves to use, and I do watch his character breakdowns (along with others, like ThatBlastedSalami). Though this won’t really stop me from watching him on KZbin it is enlightening to see this.

And in Korea it is common to go be a strong player's apprentice to learn Tekken. Idk if Knee himself is giving lessons freely but I bet he has and still is teaching people every now and then. Problem with TMM teaching things, is that his knowledge isn't really accurate on some stuff. I didn't realize it as a beginner but when I got better at the game I kept finding holes in his knowledge and gameplay. He doesn't focus on detail, opting for "the general rules" of the matchup and while that helps early on, you have to go into detail eventually in order to progress. And how are you sure that a top player would be a boring teacher or person for that matter? And in the end do you want to learn actual Tekken or pay 100+€ to make fart jokes?

Alright so yeah tmm is an extremely salty player and i knew this ever since ive seen his ttt2 videos so i knew what i was getting into, if u didnt see his vids back in the day this may all be a huge suprise. Tbh I don’t watch his vids because of him being a good or bad player. He’s rarely wrong when it comes to the overall knowledge of tekken and his vids are pretty informative. It’s not like he’s making character tutorials titled “how to play this character and achieve 100% success in tournament play”. One thing I do agree with him is that some characters are much easier to play in the sense that it’s the opponent’s job to learn how to counter while the actual player is just mashing easy and confusing strings like with Nina/lei/xiaoyu etc.

If we are speaking about lee specifically, the "buffs" that he got to "patch up his holes" were just placebo buffs. Most of the stuff is barely useful in an actual game while the nerf to his d3 and b3+4 were quite the big hit opening up holes rather than fixing them. When it comes to making a character in general easier is where I also heavily disagree with your opinion. In your comment youre implying that everyone should be grateful theyre making chars easier for newbies to pick up, but honestly that just shits on the work of those that put in time to work on the execution youd have needed for that specific character, which rewards complacency instead of hard work. Imo when you do not want to put time into execution, then that a character requires that character is not for you. the issue with leaving the sessions is that in a game where you're bound to lose and have to accept that reality and promo and demo time and time again to truly get better, he runs from the possibility of adversity in order to show to his viewers that he is an "amazing "player who wins most of the time when in reality he lose quits until he finds someone weaker than him to farm his way up to TGP. so for someone who claims to be incredibly good at the game its facetious if all you do is play games you're gonna win. Basically it's seen as etiquette at higher ranks to either deathmatch to promo or at least do first to 3 then leave considering load times for this game.

As a main man fan, this is pretty cringe to see, I guess I put to much trust into people. and can never see him stream live, because he does it so early in the morning my time, that I’m always still asleep. That alt+F4 “gonna live up to my name” part is pretty cringe. All of that aside, it’s important to call him out on this, because it’s not a great representation of the community and it pains me to say it, because I literally watch main man like every day haha 😂 of course I watch KingJae, Lil Majin, eyemucisian, jdcr and arsenalty, Masood etc. but Mainman does always produce great content. However it may not be genuine, which is what this video had revealed. I hope he sees this and takes it seriously. Especially since he’s a coach, I want to see Mainman become Godlike. I want all Tekken players to become God like. This is the best fighting game on the planet! I want all my Tekken brothers to do well. So I have a forgiving heart towards Mainman. But feel as if his sins need to be addressed to him, and this video does that. Thank you for this video.
