I love how TMM always focuses on the beginner-intermediate sphere of Tekken, even though the majority of FGC analysis focuses on higher-level play. While I certainly understand and appreciate the focus on high-level play, it's always awesome to see the emphasis put on areas that so many more players can enjoy and learn from.
@Icipher3534 жыл бұрын
As someone who has just come back to Tekken after a long hiatus (since Tekken 3) playing other games, I’m impressed by how many good content creators there are teaching the game at a level suitable for casual players. A lot of other fighting game scenes are so focussed around the elite level that they forget that the vast majority of players are the casuals. Tekken feels very welcoming by comparison. People like TMM, That Blasted Salami, and Frame Whisperer are a huge benefit to helping grow the Tekken community by making the game more accessible.
@joshuaxiong83774 жыл бұрын
Also, they make entertaining videos and videos that make you enjoy the game as a whole and not just one aspect. I've learned to enjoy older Tekken games that I missed through out the years and even went out of my way to buy them because of TMM. High level players grinding through matches, tournament matches, and purely informative videos are nice sometimes, but it's great to just watch something fun like a revisiting of an older Tekken Game, a fun group discussion about Tekken, or featuring other interesting things from Tekken 7 like the boss characters.

I want them to make more guide videos tbh the narration combined with an actual explanation of a character's tools is very streamlined into a simplistic package where people can process the information. It started my journey when I wanted to main Julia as a basic character at face value but with gimmicks to utilize as you learn Tekken with and I could spread my wings into other characters very liberally by learning basics. Definitely don't wanna pester blasted salami's great content creators but i feel like the most effective guides I've learned from definitely came from them and I'd encourage them to do more of it.

late to the party but... i love blasted salami guides because the first thing they do is tell you "this character plays like this and these are the tools that allow for that" be it 50/50, keepaway or whatever, knowing that before being blasted by frame data info is so much more important for me that just started picking up the game a few weeks ago than having a guide start with "these are the punishers, thse are the combos" i picked up josie first and blasted salamis breakdown of her helped me so much, now that i want to play leo and there is no video on him from them its a lot more difficult to have an idea of what the hell this character is supposed to do

characters like eddy are your wildcard in tourney when you fundie character has been downloaded somehow. Its easy to see. Like how you use bob if your mishima is not working or you are too tired to execute. My example is that is use lay as my side piece for my oscar, you cant rely on lei for the long haul but that tiger stance will get you are match. Its all about taking the whole game into consideration. Only certain pros can pull it off play perfect with one character but you got to sub in and meta imo. I need to develop a bob

Both pronunciations are correct but, by far, especially in American Continental English the most commonly accepted and encountered pronunciation of "review" will be the long /e/ sound from the back of the throat with a flattened tongue similar to the Deutsche/German 'i.' Your current pronunciation is garnering criticism because it isn't incorrect or wrong but is far less common due to the schwa sound, E.G. Reh/Rea, you're accustomed to using in your enunciation versus the long 'e' sound which is more similar to the doubled vowel sound as mentioned above earlier. It doesn't matter though. Sincerely and especially for a L2 speaker of English, don't be concerned with this criticism you've received for your pronunciation of this one word because, not only is your pronunciation of the word "Review" accepted and correct, you're being understood which is the point of language. That criticism is purely on the merit of pedants, so don't pay them much mind.
