aye dvj is a lot of a fun (am a dvj main as well, but a lowly raijin atm), but it is STRESSFUL. heihachi is fun but stressful as well but arguably he has better tools and all of them hit like an absolute truck

In pro scene youre probably right but for casual players they have both strenghts and weakneses. Djin isnt any weaker at this point. Better ch game, similar combo damage but much easier, better hellsweep, many more tricks and panic tools, much better throw game, much easier punishment

I was stuck in purple for a while. If I can give you advice it's to develop your defense. Purple players are lab beasts but their defense is shallow. If you can break the flow chart it's free eats. Just need to remain calm

Old Tekken player here. Like 37 years old, old. There comes a point in the grind where some matches drain you mentally. To the point where you put the sticks/cpu down for the day 😂. I admire the ones who go all the way. I reached Tekken Lord in Tekken 6 with Paul and that was the last time I was that dedicated to Tekken. Who knows, if Lei gets released....I may buy 8 and have some fun. Great channel, keep up the good work.

I agree with the title. Ranked seems super difficult all of a sudden. I’m a GoD with Xiaoyu and Law and I want to get my pocket characters to Tekken King, and it’s super hard. I can’t go up a single rank with Dragunov. I’m a hard stuck Fujin. I’m only getting matched against people with 280k or more Prowess. I would say my fundamentals are pretty good, the things that’s kinda braking me is certain matchup knowledge that I’m lacking, so I’m punishing with wrong moves.

Oki > Damage for mishimas typically and more so for DVJ. The steel pedal is guarranteed if they dont tech so more dmg overall.

Don't play other characters in ranked because your prowess will skyrocket and you'll end up fighting people at your rank with another character but their main is Tekken king+

It’s getting difficult cause you’re playing with a nerfed character partially thanks to all the complaining you did about him. He was already a glass cannon or silver bullet before the nerf now he has turned to just special ed, needing gimmicks and godlike skill and set ups / reads to even try to compete at all at the highest levels. Lore is messed up too.

You keep doing dive kick after whiff and also the same unblockable charge at the wall for oki almost every time, then proceed to say that the players are tournament level for intercepting or punishing it. Most of the time its just you playing bad. Tekken 7 TMM wouldn't mash after heihachi db2 on hit, but you did it eagerly in this vid.

Tbf with DVJ's kit, you kinda need to commit and do setups like that cause otherwise he feels janky. It's like hes designed to play like that which sucks ass, even qudans play like that when he was using him. Also T8 in general encourages active defense, but I agree, db2 on hit, there are very few instances where pressing an attack would work out in your favor, sidestepping after on hit would do much more good i think.

@hatto whole point is that he wasn't changing it up, he was on autopilot, which happens, but to say it's because opponents are amazing is just delusional. All dvjs tools are there to be used but he was doing the same moves with the same timing, reacting predictably to pressure with divekick. These guys are very solid but nothing that should give TMM trouble considering how long he's been playing the game
