I love the interactions you have with FDNY members. The white doggie at the beginning of the video was very cute. It's scary how angry and upset some people can get in a situation like this, while others were calm and said "Thank you" after being rescued. Thanks for your video!

That mouthy crazy bunch in the beginning were insane. There was no fire or smoke, their lives weren't in danger, they should have waited for help to arrive. Great video JJ, thank you. Happy New Year.

Fact of life, trains are machines, machines break down. People have not realized the fact that all things break at one time or another. They say that Police and Fire fighters have a thankless job, this is 99% fact by looking at the evidence provided. Thank you J.J. for another great vid.

The TA had a flurry of small derailments / track explosions in the early teens, there were a group teens who would go all over the subway system, walk the tracks, break into TA rooms and when they got bored, they'd put metal objects on the track so when the train hit the object, it would cause the 3rd rail to arc and cause a loud explosion and fire. My partner caught one of the cases and we found who who the main players were and a collar was made. The "kid" had no remorse, he and his friends were bored and we got even more tips / video of his crew kicking on the doors for the conductor throughout different trains on different lines, primarily in the BX, Mnhtn and Bklyn. People don't understand how dangerous being on the tracks really are and that doesn't include rats that are the size of small kids !

NYC is wearing out. And FDNY ends up rescuing folks from all sorts of failures. Extinguishing fires alone seems enough to keep them busy, but they're also doing stuff for which fire personnel are probably not trained. I suppose it's the battalion chiefs who have to muster their forces for these varied emergencies. Old underground systems seem especially susceptible to these. My experience is limited but mostly with the London underground, where lines are shut down while their ancient trash is blazing.
