No setting is complete without goblins. So a space setting of course needs space goblins. You just have to love them.

The space goblins are also a great excuse to add in unexpected space nasties that the party encounters! The more disgusting... The more likely it is the gangs pet/mascot and not food. 😂

Can confirm one can play a Chaotic Evil Space Goblin without having to be That Guy. We all miss you, Dr. Dingitz, even if you did get your biohacker medical degree from an unaccredited institution that you were the founder, dean and entire support staff of. Still, their resume was spotless and they earned top marks in their classes, and let us pay them in parts of the corpses of whomever/whatever we killed. It entirely made up for the dubious healing "serums" they pumped into us, and the fact that their best and only contribution to our tactical planning was "Pump the problem full of mutagens and see what happens.".

@@TheMapleTable Ah that's a shame, they coulda had a shot at becoming the sci-fi version of that Matt Mercer show, I forget what it's called it honestly kinda got irritating what with the glut of people jumping in to the hobby and expecting everything to be like Matt Mercer's show. But your players would be better! They have a bear, after all. We need more bears, in ALL things.

Personally, i think the goblins from Gallarion pushed the envelope in the creation of an airship so amazing that it reached past the upper atmosphere, but be came stranded when Gollarion vanished. Never giving up hope, they infiltrated a junker’s space vessel and from there, absalom station…

Super late to the video but couldn't help but tell about my space goblin Big People Call Me Jerry. He was the mechanic of the ship his class was Technomancer, he had Goblin names for the different parts of the ship, mostly based on how they can hurt or mame him. I played him in a way that made it seem like he maybe didn't know what he was doing. Also he came with the player's ship, so he was a "Ship Goblin". He was part of the previous crew with a captain who lead with fear. The Capt kept telling him to jerry rig something together. The Capt last order to the goblin was that he wasn't allowed to abandon ship till he ordered it cause of some perceived coweredness...eventually the ship was salvaged and low and behold here a living Goblin trying to fix the ship and refusing to leave it...but he does good work so I came with the ship.

My space goblin is The Mole. He acts like Mole from Atlantis, but even friendlier, smiles all the time, and has a disturbing love for explosives. He's the ship mechanic and is an exocortex mechanic. He's also slowly making himself into a cyborg. We all came together by happenstance and this little goblin saved everyone's life so many times they decided he'd make a fine team mascot.
