Sabrina, I think you should foster for your local animal shelter! If you are unsure about getting a dog, I think fostering a shelter dog would be perfect for you. I think it’s a great way to get your feet wet, have support from the shelter, and if it’s not a good fit, you can always foster a different pup! But I think buying a dog is not the way to go 😭 since it’s such a big commitment. I fostered at my local shelter (North Central shelter) here in LA city and I ended up adopting my pittie Gray 🤍 he was surrendered and was there for 2 years until I scooped him up 🤍 he’s been an amazing dog to me and my husband. I highly recommend fostering first 🤍🤍🤍🤍

I can see you with a dog that you can be active with (ex. going on a hike) so perhaps a golden doodle because I think they don’t shed as much as other dogs. Loved your vlog! ♥️

Grief is so hard girl. One of my closest friends was killed 2 years ago & it still hits me randomly. Some days you’re on top of the world, some days it hits you & you’re like biihhh why 😭 it can be so frustrating. Girl don't do it! I say that because for 1 you have light furniture & you're used to getting up & going without worrying. With a pet, some may need constant attention & take it out on your house when you leave regularly. Then walking it regularly; if you wanna travel, getting a dog sitter, insurance, food & toys is an added expense. I gotta dog & a grand baby, and they both battling for my pockets! 😊 know that it is a responsibility & you would have to start doing things with who gone keep the dog, is the dog gonna be cool with I'm gone & damn I gotta worry about feeding, maintenance as far as haircuts, dog park activity, treats. Girl it's a lot! Do what you can handle. I know for me, if I was single, I'd just live my life & not worry about nobody's pet. Because once you get one it's like a family member, you'll find it difficult if you decide to get rid of it or want to give it away. #my2cents
