Thank you so much for being so bold to proclaim this biblical truth. We need preachers like you to preach this truth of worldliness in the church.

Timely and particularly insightful exhortation. Big Eva needs to return to the same biblical firm foundation...sand and silicon are proving again to be lousy for the standing of the bride of Christ.

I didn’t really think about it this way, because right now I have a lot of depression going on and regret because I made a decision that caused me to lose my financially free investments and properties, which gave me a really awesome lifestyle, but I was doing a lot of sinning and being sexually immoral a lot, and maybe God caused me to lose the investments in order to clean up my life. I really don’t know because I’m still mad that I lost that financial freedom. But if I am truthful, what I really miss is having the pleasure of living however I wanted to. How do I get over this? Maybe a losing it was a blessing and a gift from God even though I really want to remove the regret for being so stupid and making a dumb decision I thought led to the loss.

I wonder if, “having loved this present world” meant Demus was homesick for his former business affairs and/or personal property?
@iacoponefurio1915 Жыл бұрын
He was evidently not truly converted.
@Fraevo10 Жыл бұрын
@@iacoponefurio1915 We will never know for sure in this life but it seems Paul felt abandoned and betrayed and definitely let down. Perhaps Demus vowed he would be Paul’s partner in ministry and then had second thoughts?

John 3:16 For God SO LOVED the world that He gave His only son . . . " Preacher, are we not to love everything the Father loves? Yes we are so explain this for us. Nothing you can come up with will properly make any sense but I know you'll try . . won't you?

The problem is that God doesn’t love worldliness. So therefore we aren’t called to love it. The World as used in the verse you referenced is different from “worldliness”. Things that point you away from God is considered worldly. So no we don’t love that. God calls you to hate that.
@jamescooke6158 Жыл бұрын
It is a both/and logical situation. We are to reject the world and its ways, but love it regardless. Like Jesus was not a sinner, but came for them. It's only apparently contradictory to spiritual prositutes. How much is your spirit worth? How about your loved ones?

Further more why don't you go analyse someone else instead of me hey since you have all the answers answer this why does Jesus just not whip the devil's tail right in front of everyone hust kick his but like the UFC and tell him get off my children's back? Because we have to learn how to have some maturity now be mature and be blessed .
