like the 2 and the -b, do you simply chose that at random, dawg this shi mad confusing

Seems more straightforward to let n = 0 and m = b. Your videos are a nice refresher for my maths course thanks for making them : )

LOL yes that would have been much easier:)

@@TheMathSorcerer ya I was in my head thinking he's gonna write m=0, but he wrote m=2b LOL I thought I missed some reason why taking one element of the ordered pair as 0 wouldn't work. These videos are so helpful because they actually show the formal proof as a professor would expect it to be done. My professor was not happy about the average last time so he's making this test 5 hard frqs no MC to light a fire under our asses these videos might be the only reason I make it out of there. Would it be possible for you to do a video on If 𝑥 and 𝑦 are irrational, then 𝑥 + 𝑦 is irrational. its obviously not true because of counterexamples like root 2 - (root 2 +1) but how would you do a formal proof by contradiction for example. For If 𝑥 is rational and 𝑦 is irrational, then 𝑥 + 𝑦 is irrational. I was able to do a nice clean proof by contradiction by simply reversing the conclusion and finding a contradiction, obviously, that claim is true so the process must be different. but I'm unable to figure out how to do it for the first problem. Thank you so much for all the help!

I'm from the future. Thank you for this video. I'm taking discrete math and this helps a lot even though the examples are not the same

what happens if you replace ZxZ->Z to RxR->R Im curious to know

do you think there's an IQ requirement for getting a math degree? Obviously excluding the extreme low range, what I'm asking is if you think a person of average or slightly below average intelligence can learn to grasp high level math.
@TheMathSorcerer4 жыл бұрын
yeah I think they could do it yes

So you are saying that 90% of all math is written into the dustbin?

Hello sir, I need your help kindly see the problem given below Q. Let Z denote the set of integer and Z>=0 (0,1,2,3,...). Consider map f:( Z>=0)×Z to Z given by f(m,n)= (2^m)(2n+1) then we have to check the function is one to one and onto ..? Thanks
@akashgargate65784 жыл бұрын
Actually , I show the function is onto by taking m=0 and n=(y-1)/2. From above video but what about one one I tried by putting different inputs and getting different outputs ... Is this correct ?
