@jake2beck It's also used in Prime 2 during one of its flashback scenes, and IIRC, bits and pieces of it are sprinkled in during the intro of Prime 1. Fusion and Hunters don't have it, though.

I knew about the naming fallacy for quite awhile. In fact, when SSBB's track list was leaked so long ago, I immediately thought of the Crateria theme when I saw "Theme of Samus Aran, Space Warrior". As epic as Crateria theme is, it's nothing compared to the epic t=Credits theme. :D

@Rajalae all right, let's make things clear. solid snake was added because hideo kojima (creator of the metal gear saga) asked for it, he wanted to add him on melee, but he couldn't because melee was far into development, it couldn't be done. also, there are metal gear games for the NES sonic was a request, nintendo asked wich character they wanted on the game, sonic was the most popular (because of the mario vs sonic thing) so, neither sonic or snake were planned.

You want to know something that will blow your mind? 1: I know that Other M excludes the Prime series, but like I said about the timeline issue. 2:Sakamoto directed the Prime series along with all of the other Metroid games except for Metroid 2: Return of Samus.

@nahor88 Prime was not planned at the time of the SNES, and besides, Nintendo see's them as spinoffs. Who knows? Maybe she feels uncomfortable talking about it.

The opening theme sounds similar to the "OK GO!" theme of the Captain America & The Avengers arcade, and the main theme of The Cliffhanger: Edward Randy (both by Data East), which came out before Super Metroid.

@nahor88 Phazon was a big deal in her life but that doesn't mean she has to explain every mission she was a part of. MP 1 and 2 were just carried out on her free will and have nothing to do with Metroid 1 - 3. Besides, I don't think Nintendo ever imagined Metroid becomming a 3d FPS at that time, let alone the storyline.

I know this isn't related to any SSBB history, but have you ever played Super Mario RPG- and found Samus sleeping in that bed? Samus also appears as a doll in a box of dolls. It's an easter egg. Link from the Legend of Zelda games is also in Super Mario RPG.

Sakamoto was loosely involved with the Prime series, he didn't make all the executive decisions as he did with Other M, otherwise the game would have turned out much differently, similar to how Melee turned out compared to Brawl, since Sakurai took complete control of Brawl.

This theme sounds kind of similar to a song from Data East arcade game that predates Super Metroid. The arcade game is titled "The Cliffhanger: Edward Randy", and the song is titled as "Venture Hundred Rapid Fire (Theme of Edward Randy)". If you don't know which part of the game it plays at, it plays at the airplane parts. It may look like an Indiana Jones+Strider rip-off, but it's a tribute, while most Indiana Jones games predating it were poorly made. It also influenced Treasure Co. Ltd..

You know what, I had the same argument about the Prime series on the Gamingbritshow's review on Other M. While the Prime series is a good game series, the previous Metroid games, mostly Return of Samus, don't even mention the events of the Prime series, but unfortunately nobody at the video ever recognized the problem in the timeline. UGH!!!!!

Samus looks even sexier in the black bikini than in the zero suit, IMO. :p I realize all 3 Prime games were made after Super Metroid, but chronologically they're supposed to take place before SM. The way Samus speaks is as if they never happened. Getting corrupted by phazon is pretty big deal...

@nahor88 The funny thing is that Samus doesn't NEED to be physically attractive, as her feats and acrobatic skills should really be enough to impress a potential...date. But Samus is physically attractive anyway. The Other M version of ZSS looks sexier than the SSBB version IMO. Funny thing, but "Zero Suit Samus" sounds a little like "Coelophysis".
