Theme of Tara - History Behind Super Smash Bros. Brawl Music

No one seems to notice that in Metal Gear Solid the VR Training music is actually the Theme of Tara and the part that was supposedly cut in Brawl was already cut in MGS.

They took out the other half probably because they based themselves on the VR missions in Metal Gear Solid. In some of the missions, Theme of Tara plays, but it's only the first half.

His final smash comes from MGS2, when Otacon and Snake were in a kasatka helicopter while Snake shot at Solidus with his Grenade Launcher.

I think his final smash originated from MGS2- the part where Solidus Snake calls himself the "legend" snake. He hangs shoots from a helicopter. Plus, the grenade launcher is the same one from MGS2 that you can obtain RIGHT BEFORE the fight. They both explode on impact.

@CrappyCaptureDevice I agree with you. They did a nice job with the track in Brawl but it was such a waste not using the whole thing especially when the second half is several times better.

@Alan56713 If Konami allows it. Ninty DOES deserve an update of the 2 MSX versions of Metal Gear 1 & 2, though I would be happier if it was multiplaform. As a reminder, Only the Red disc remix if Theme of Tara has the second part arranged.

I really like the Brawl version, but I must agree that the part they cut out was th best part of the song. It's a shame... D:

This song actually made it into the VR missions of the PSX Metal Gear Solid. It sounded so epic. Of course , the Theme of Tara in Brawl borrows too much from MGS3, and the soundtrack from that game in particular, I did not care for. The way the music is put together, the instruments, and such, all simulate something from MGS3. Too much trumpet and guitar, and the arrangement is not really my kind of music.

@CrappyCaptureDevice I know. NONE of the arrangements use the second part of the Theme of Tara. Not the MGS1 VR theme, not the MGS2 remix of this tune, not even Brawl... :/ A shame cause I like all remixes of this theme.

@CrappyCaptureDevice I do like the original better. Also since I haven't played Brawl in 6 months I forget what is missing. Now I see what is missing, why couldn't they keep that? Would have sounded pretty good, not sure if the MGS mix has that part.

The Brawl remix sounds more like James Bond type of music. It is crap. The original got the feeling of epicness and suspense.

The sound in the song. Kojima interpreted the songs sounds as "TA-RA dun dun dun dun dun dun TA-RA".
