I've been traveling to Paris from the US fairly frequently for most of my life. My best friend lives in Paris and I've visiting several times with my family and on solo travel adventures.
I finally decided to put together a video of things I with I knew before travel in hope if will help other travelers get their very best Paris experience.

Yes, yes, yes on that Navigo pass!!!! I love the unlimited access you get on all buses and metros. I am on and off buses and metros ALL THE TIME. When you get a weekly or monthly pass, it includes the RER to and from CDG.

I was in Paris last week(from South Africa), and loved travelling on the Metro. I bought a Navigo Decouverte Weekly Pass, and found it very cost effective. It is quick and easy if you get to understand the system. We went the wrong way a few times😂. It was great watching your video..Thanks😊

I love the Marais and Luxembourg Gardens areas. I prefer visiting during the Fall season. I just got back from Paris June 21st and missed the music festival..I had no idea about the festival. Next time I come to Paris will be in the Fall.

Can you give us a thorough updated video on what Paris looks like right now (29 June 24)? I'd like to see how many iconic landmarks are now being obscured by the Paris Olympic set ups such as bleachers, fences and construction.

I mean - I’m in NYC at the moment so it would be hard. I feel that most of the iconic landmarks are still good to go. Some walkways are being closed though. leParisDeSophie on instagram might be able to tell you more.

Putting love locks on fences and such causes damage and is considered a form of vandalism. The locks also get cut frequently so it’s not like anyone is going to have a permanent testament to their relationship. A better idea would be to take a picture with your person by the Love wall in Montemartre.

I was on the EuroStar i 1997 and went to Paris, sat net to a Parisian my age, 23, and he explained the best bars, cafes, and oral seks in the city. Wrote it down on my boarding card. He did. I checked the hotel recommended since planing my next year trip, but the non refundable policy make me cross over from my list. Too bad it looks like a nice place.

Are you sure? When we booked (I emphasize this is NOT sponsored, we paid full price) we made SURE we could cancel because we were a bit unsure of our plans initially. When we stayed, it was cancellable until 2pm the day of arrival. Just double checked out email to make sure. I dont see that having changed on their website. Perhaps email them to make sure?

Why doesn’t Sophie not have any reviews from 2024?

No clue. Reviews are really weird. A but about how the sausage in tourism in made...a lot of companies really beg guests for reviews. At the end of tours they ask for them, send follow up emails, etc...and sometimes even give their tour guides bonuses if their name is mentioned in a perfect review. Sophie has a really in-demand boutique company and it's just her that gives the tours, an doesn't tend to need to depend on reviews so doesn't beg for them. She gave me one of her tours and it was AWESOME so my review is SHE ROCKS! Check her out on Instagram.
