Other areas to watch: You’re allowed at the start line, mile 3 by the bus depot at Epcot, TT&TC, outside Grand Floridian/Polynesian, entrance at Hollywood Studios, and boardwalk. Way to go KODA!!!!!! Be careful, Dopey gets addicting. I was one and done with Dopey….now I’m 5 years in a row.

Congratulations to Koda! Great job. I agree 100% on her advice for finishing a marathon. Train! How she did the Dopey without proper training is beyond me. I guess she did it with sheer determination and youth! I also would like to give you some encouragement and advice. I watched your 10k video. I was out there in your corral and fortunately stayed well ahead of the balloon ladies! I was able to get myself up towards the front of the corral which made all the difference. This was my first race I have completed over the 16 minute pace. I have done 2 Goofy’s and 13 half’s. When I did my first Goofy I was over 350 lbs. I finished only because I trained! I trained to a 15 minute pace. I did my second the next year down to about 315 lbs. Then a bunch of years doing the half but not doing great with my weight. Feb 10th of 2022 I had quadruple bypass surgery! I was 360 lbs at that time! Shame on me. So needless to say finishing this year ahead of the balloon ladies was a very big deal for me! I am now closing in on 260 lbs. I am registered for the 2025 10k. My goal is to finish at a sub 15 minute pace and under 230 lbs. I strongly encourage you to sign up for another 10k and train for it. If you train you will finish! I have never run a step. Every mile as a fat man walking. Please don’t wait for bypass surgery to motivate you! Not the program I recommend but it is working for me!
