Fun fact, this is the second most expensive roller coasters in the world, at around 52 million USD. This is due to a combination of it's sheer length, as well as that fact that extra steel was required to make it earthquake resistant. The only roller coaster more expensive is Expedition Everest, which cost 100 million USD.

That said, this ride doesn't have an entire freaking mountain built over it or a 20 foot tall yeti animatronic that broke after 6 months because it caused the concrete beneath it to crack and would require literally tearing the whole ride apart to get it safely functioning again.

Fun fact 2, It seems a bit boring and attendances might indicate same. I don't think they're getting much return on it anymore. I played roller coaster tycoon and watched the south park cartman theme park episode so that now makes an expert. I'll send my CV to this theme park and tell them i want $10,000,000 per annum.

Everyone saying its boring....its basically dropping vertically a hundred metres then shooting up then shooting back down at over 100km an hour then that tunnel hill part feels like you're literally no longer on the tracks. Don't judge a ride by a video.

Thought same about Shambhala and when I got to ride it, boy I was wrong. It's so fast and I felt like I was floating whole time. Dragon Khan in the other hand, which looked more thrilling with its inversions was roughest ride and it was so boring. My neck was in pain whole afternoon after that
@graysonwood99877 жыл бұрын
Sure it would be fun, but it's still incredible basic and bland. Just a scaled up b&m hyper made by a worse company. I guarantee a standard B&M hyper would be a better ride than this. Magnum XL-200 is tall and fast, but unless its a good day on the right seat, its a rough, airtimeless ride. Besides, a ride can be tall and fast but still be AWFUL. Take Desperado for example.
@Ingestedbanjo6 жыл бұрын
The bit after the MCBR looks fun, if the hills are fast enough to give airtime... The drop looks alright. The first hill and the endless turns (not even overbanked turns) look pointless though.

Finally went to Japan and completed all of the gigas. I personally liked this coaster. It had a little rough looseness that made it feel out of control, but I didn't find it painful. It may be my third favorite giga, after Fury and MF. Unfortunately, I did not get to try Dodonpa at Fuji Q , as it was down the day I went to Mt Fuji, nor Thunder Dolphin at Tokyo Dome, as it was down for lengthy maintenance until July first of this year.

I've been on this coaster on my Japan vacation last year, with the B&M trains. The best coaster in Japan in my opinion. And on the subject of Mogan's hypercoasters, they not only built Dorney Park's Steel Force, but also Desperado in Prim, Nevada, Mamba at Worlds of Fun, and Wild Thing at Valley Fair. Morgan also had plans to build an even larger coaster in Germany but the plans fell through.

@Bikelifeyouheard11 жыл бұрын
Because there is a very large lift hill present on the ride, they used two lift chains on the ride. One was used for the bottom half of the hill and one for the top half because one large chain would be stretched out and too weak to support the train. If one chain was used, this would result in a painfully longer lift time, so if you thinks it's slow now you wouldn't want to see it with just one chain.

EXCELLENT CAMERA WORK! Great job on one of the cleanest, smoothest, highest tube coaster I have seen. Looks like a new park, just being built. I noticed they had guards at the top of hill one to keep people from getting out to enjoy the view. My only advise to the camera person would be to pan around at the top of hill 1 to show the view instead of being locked into looking forward. Great Job!

Well due the speed of the ride and the wind hitting them, the sound of the riders screaming are swallowed. It seems to act as a vacuum. You may hear them off ride, but not on ride. So the camera would pick up the screams, plus most of the on ride videos were of Roller Coaster Enthusiast, which means that they would scream as much because they have been ride roller coasters all of their lives.

I looked into giga coasters, and only one manufacturer uses the term, and that's Intamin. Intamin has made two giga coasters, Millennium Force and Intimidator (Kings Dominion). But by Intamin's description of what makes a giga coaster, the Steel Dragon and Leviathon (Canada's Wonderland) are also giga coasters, but they do not use the term "giga coaster."
