The first set of brakes before the dip acts as a block so that they can run three trains. Its basically a mid course brake run but at the end of the ride.

Are you kidding? The banked airtime hill is something even Intamin has only just recently started in their designs (i.e. the coaster being built in the Jurassic Park section of Universal's Islands of Adventure).

It’s meant to make the ride feel longer if there is no train in the station, as the train will simply go through the final turn without stopping before it.

There are (2) Locations where the track seems like 10-12 feet above you-the near turn at the Kiss fountain and after the brake run (Right hand curve into the station) Those are good picture locations. For those of who who visited and don't like the long uphill climb from the old entrance gates to the Carousel-it's gone and leveled out. And the structure that held the carousel remains and how has tables and chairs for a shaded area. I am glad they left it like that.

Ride this before judging. I thought it would be an average b&m hypercoaster but it actually ties for my favorite b&m after riding it today. The airtime on the first drop is top notch and the ride has good pacing and airtime throughout. Solid ride for sure.

Having ridden both, I thought this was worse. Maybe I had a good day but Intimidators I didnt notice/hurt the ride that badly. Both these I deff noticed, and the 1st isnt too bad but the 2nd really kills it. I like Intimidator more personally.

I've been on this 4 times now. Each time I sat in a different seat. This looks very ehhh on you tube. I was not expecting it to be what it was. I was surprised...in a good way! These videos do not do it justice! Insane airtime for most of the ride. The seats and restraints are very comfortable, by far the best I've seen/rode in. Sky rush is god awful, in comparison, these are nothing like sky rush. The last time I on rode on Candymonium yesterday, I noticed we were going faster, and the trim breaks kicked in, halfway through that ride...bummer!

I think those are just the cables running up to the trim brake. But I have no idea why they decided to put them on top of the track like that.

That'll be the wires for the power and control of the trim, and the proximity switches. Not sure why it's routed on top of the track but I imagine it makes the maintenance a damn bit easier for the techs

My 15yr old son and i Went to HP today. Rode this three times and could have almost walked on it all day long if we wanted. A really really good ride. Felt like half the ride i was out of my seat. Ultra smooth, and very well engineered. Skyrush and stormrunner are my faves at HP, but this is a great coaster as well.

It seems pretty fun and butter smooth. The new area looks very fresh too. The ride seems a bit tame especially with the trims though. The layout isnt as good as Goliath at SFOG or even Mako in my opinion but B&M hypers are veeery popular by GP in parks so good addition.

Pretty unique layout for a b&m hyper. Pacing does look a bit off though, but I suppose the video might be deceiving. That being said, Hershey sure has a sick lineup of coasters.

I didn't feel any pacing issues while riding. There is some set up time for the airtime hills, but they are smooth. You could do without a trim brake on the 2nd half of the ride (Before the upward helix), but it was moving well and enjoyable. Oh, and smile as you go up the hammerhead turn-that's where the camera is. I hope you get there and can ride it this summer.

You would think that with a name like "Candymonium" , the ride would be a little bit more thrilling with inversions like the Smiler in Alton Towers or Lost Gravity in Walibi Holland. This just reminds me of a smaller version of Mako in Sea World Orlando. Still nice enough to ride but just doesn't seem to fit the name.

best coaster in the park. rode 4 times off of sheer luck. front once, middle once, back twice. without a doubt, the back row is the BEST way to ride this. you are yanked on every bunny hill, and that first drop is fucking bananas, and the airtime is borderline illegal. go add this to your credits immediately.

It is a nice coaster. Best time to ride it is at the end of the day. To kick your adrenaline one last time but also to sort of calm yourself down. Contradictory but that’s how it feels. Not as rough as Thighcrush (aka Skyrush) but still thrilling enough. And smooth af.

I think they were running the trim breaks to much, it really slowed the whole thing down quite a bit, rode it for the first time today and loved except for the trim breaks, it seamed a little bit like a small version of millennium force, I know they have different manufacturers they are both pretty lengthy and smooth coaster with decent drops

Just got off of this, absolute best ride I’ve been on, I don’t do well with inversions so I was happy that I could actually enjoy a hyper coaster! It’s buttery smooth (as B&M are masters at this) a perfect way for people who are easily nauseated by inversions as well as people who want a good intro to more sizable rides.

I've never been on Candymonium before but this ride is 10 ft higher, 1mph faster and 1,036 ft longer than Skyrush.

The first half was really similar to *Silver Star* from Europa-Park : - The first turn (After the 2nd drop) like the turn after the 3rd drop on Silver Star - The 270° turn up in the middle, like the Silver Star - The rail design (But not the color)

Because both this coaster and Silver Star are a kind of roller coaster called the hyper coaster, made by a company called Boliger and Milbilard (B&M). There are about 20 of these B&M Hyper Coasters around the world and almost all of them are similar, some with slightly different heights and speeds.

When I was there the line was crazy. I feel like it was under whelming, it’s a great ride don’t get me wrong but compared to Skyrush (the park’s former tallest ride) it’s horrible. It’s 2 feet taller and 1 mph faster than skyrush. So skyrush is still my favorite

They have very restrictive zoning and height requirements from the township that the park is located in.
