Join me in the first of 3 different vlogs from May 2019 at PortAventura World in Spain! In this action packed vlog I share on ride footage from all of the major rides at the park including Shambhala, Dragon Khan and Furius Baco. Along with that I share my review of the new Sesame Street: Street Mission dark ride that's new for 2019 in SesamoAventura.
Along with all of that I capture the wonderful atmosphere of PortAventura Park along with sharing highlights from some of the spectacular live entertainment including We Dance On Movies!

The Cinematic Mind OMG THAT HAPPENED TO ME . I was in Ferrari land just beside Portaventura park and we were in a queue for flying dreams ( amazing ride ) and the queue was sooo long about 1/1:30 hours. So we were queuing and this women and her daughter came from behind us and kept pushing forward. Then my mom confronted them and the mother didn’t speak English but the daughter did and she said they had fast pass but they obviously didn’t it was sooo annoying

Super, late reply. But I live in Spain, and Queue jumping is normal here. Its kinda part of 'Culture' if you wanna call it that, they think if a family member is there, yo can jump ahead to meet them. It is annoying but it is in Spanish blood according to my Spanish m8 Lol

On dragon Khan at the left there is a sepperate queue and people use it if they have a disabled pass. This could be if they have autism or something similar it's not them quew jumping just trying to let people know. I know you might not be thinking of this but not many people know about this and sometimes people get a bit of abuse while doing this from what I have seen.

i came to portaventura in july 2019 (i live in the uk) and it was a dream of mine to go to a great park like this as soon as i entered the park because of how beautiful it was shambhala is definitely the best ride i’ve ever been on. i experienced the queue jumping on dragon khan and it was terrible

That is a cheap trip 🎢 There should be no staggered openings at any park. It should be open for full park hours you paid for to reduce queues.

I went here at 14 and our hotel el paso had just opened so as part of the package we got 2 week passes to the theme park. All the kids had just gone back to school so through the week their were no queues. Legendary place. Great video bringing back 20 yer old memories.

I rode the Dragon Khan in 1999! They've added so much more since then, it looks ace! I also remember the 2 water parks called Aqua Leon and Aqua Polis, thanks for sharing this, mate.

I was in PortAventura when you were there. I even saw you filming :) I agree with you on Street Mission: it is a really nice dark ride. My little boy really enjoyed it. Stampida is a great funny ride except that I got bruises on my thighs. Thank you for your videos. It's as if I was in Salou again!

I went there in 1999 as we were staying in Salou but I couldn't pluck up the courage to go on Dragon Khan. I loved the wild west area the best but it is an awesome park and have been wanting to go back for years and take the kids as I know they will love it there. xxxxx

This park is very similar to bush gardens in Tampa. Almost the same layout except for more space and more stuff. The gardens doesn’t really have a dark ride it’s all coasters maybe a flume. Anyway the gardens is celebrating its anniversary right now and you can pick up whatever with old rides on it like the very old rhino rush which is now sorta a petting zoo but empty most of the year. I think you can find one online.

Great to see Shambhala again. I loved it when i went last year for the first time. Has to be my top coaster at the mo. Furios Baco was awful, i came off with an horrendous headache. It was like being in an earthquake. I saw the bird man there when i went he was great and we met some of the birds after the show.

One off my favorite parks! Rode Shambala 19 times in a row in 2016 end of the season and the waiting times were only 5 minutes you could walk right true the cue. Number 2 after Taron. Shame the red force wasnt open yet. Going back this summer to ride that one. Awesome vid m8!

I've been in port aventura twice one time in one of the hotels in port aventura and I have tot say when you go in the evening its so great you pay 20 Euros for it and you can enter from 6 tot 12 and some days they have a special day then the park is open to 3 in the night, the park is a must to enter one time in your life just go in the shambhala 😂

I knew going up that first hill, it was going to be a good day. On-ride shots make all the difference. And being solo allows for unrestrained yammering. I wouldn't have minded an extra ride or two on Shambhala, your excellent photographic skills notwithstanding.

Me and my family went to Salou on holiday in 2007, this is the 1st ride we'd been on, didn't know anything about it, we got to the train and watched it set off & we all thought what have we gotten ourselves in for haha, wow I think my stomachs still there in that station lol, the best thing is a few wks after we all got home, my sister did a pregnancy test, she was 6 wks pregnant so she was pregnant without knowing on Furious Baco, my niece is now 13 and funnily enough she loves roller coasters haha

Thank you for reminding people that everyone has their own preferences for coasters. I have Son of Beast and Drachen Fire both in my top 10. I rode them both very early in their short life spans and they were fantastic. It's all about personal preference.

I went there this summer and loved it, what a beautiful park! Shambhala and Red Force made it in my top 3 roller coasters, Furius Baco was fun but unfortunately my experience with Dragon Khan sucked. I rode it in the back row and it was a head banging nightmare, I was completely unable to enjoy the ride after the first drop. Hated every second of it. Maybe I just rode it on a bad day, I'll have to go back and see!

Hi shawn what a great vlog it looks so lovely there . After my 1st trip ever abroad to Majorca in June I may have to go to salou and visit porta ventura . Shambala looks amazing I'm 48 years old but I just love coasters I always have since going to Alton towers when I was 13 back in 1983 . We went on the corkscrew and that was it i was hooked . I was at PortAventura once when Shambhala was running 3 trains, the park was open until 11 pm that day (I believe it was the first day of the Halloween event), although that night it was reduced to 2 trains after a breakdown, which I was unlucky enough to be on one of the trains about to enter the station before the screw up.

I went here last month for the first time ever and honestly wasn't expecting much from it (parents chose a hotel and said there is a theme park nearby) but as soon a I entered omg I fell in love with the park! I think PortAventura World is an amazing park. Shawn, if you don’t like the staggered openings, you could spend the day relaxing, then go in the evening, no staggered openings and the que lines are so, short. Hope that helps you for the next time you, go.
