Lights flashing, smoke machine pumping whilst the music breaks down into ‘up all nights’ euphoric intro. It lifts your soul right out of your body. Hands in the air. Eyes closed. You’re rushing so hard, blurry vision and sweaty palms. Your mate pulls you in for a hug and says ‘You good mate?!’ “Yeah, I’m sweet fella”

This is very strange, so when I was a kid in school, my mate had decks and we'd go and buy a vinyl every saturday, i heard this song on the radio, once only once!! it must have been year2000. And im saying to my mate "youve got to try and find a song "john B bucketheadz up all night" never ever found it, and never heard it again EVER! And its often crossed my mind "i wonder what it was" ive just been sesrching for a song on the old Euphoria albums and it crossed my mind again so ive just sesrched again. . . NOTHING. I dropped the bucketheads, and now ivefound it!!! It was metalheadz obviously, the reason i never found it is because there is actually an artist called bucketheadz. Anyway ive paused it at 1minute, so im going to listen to it for the 2nd time ever.

Hear me now, I'm 47 years old. Seen the birth of Rap, Hip-Hop, house music, Jungle, Drum 'N'' Bass, Rags. The last generation of proper Rock 'N' Roll. Trust Me when I tell you, when Rave was a scene. 100k people illegally gathering on a hill somewhere in the middle of nowhere. This would've made the ground shake. Props to whoever made this. You vibe from proper good stock. One live X

Boh! Saw John B in Los Angeles once, some years ago now at this point. HE WAS LOVED BY EVERYONE IN EARSHOT! PACKED PLACE - PEOPLE SHOWED UP BECAUSE THEY KNEW HE'D BE THERE! John never stopped djing! Eventually the club staff simply was in need of closing the doors, turning out the lights, and going home to sleep to rest for the responsibilities of the next day. LATE NIGHT DJ GOING BEYOND THE CALL. How many hours did he go? - idk. IDK wot he was playing at the end of the night either; I think he started playing weird stuff from the 80s, but he had won the crowd over so he could have put some books on tape run out to the PA & we'd all have loved it, and be eager for more. Yah. That's how one commands the wheels of steel. BIG UP JOHN B!! ❤️❤️❤️

Such a fantastic Metalheadz track, not one of the best, but it’s made it’s mark. Great Old School sounds of the early 90s hardcore. Metalheadz is such a massive stamp in British music, and our culture in general. As J Magic & Adam F once stated, there hasn’t been any music to make such a mark in British music since Punk, and it’s still going, and get even bigger! I’ve always said, if I was to die tomorrow, I will always be grateful I experienced the British rave scene from back in the day. Such great times!!!

42 this year . this is one of my top 10 DNB tracks of all time. However, it is the only song that encapsulates the memories my youth in a single song. I would always go and stand/dance at the woofer in the centre of the floor @ The Jam , Cape Town at the turn of the century. This song immediately changed the dynamics of the club and everyone would sing along.
