I like the way Jane Beedle explains things in such a calm manner while at the same time giving a host of information and tips. She'll inspire more than one of us to try some alternative plants for Christmas containers.

Thanks for subtitle the video!: I'm learning the English tongue with you and I love plants. Greetings from Córdoba Capital, Argentina!!!
Bienvenido al jardin de medio talle. Yo vivía en el Peru para muchos años y de vez en cuando, miro los videos de KZbin para acordarme de mi Español tambien.

That did look inspiring. I so agree about not wasting plants (or money). My cyclamen from last year are starting to flower now and I love the idea with the battery Christmas lights🤗I feel inspired.

I’m envious of your climate! I uploaded my last gardening video this week. I’ll be covered in snow for the next 6 months. 😭🇨🇦

We think snow is very exciting, but you're right - we probably wouldn't if we had 6 months a year!

Hello, nice Video 👍Gaulteria will flower again and have berries. I have them in windowboxes for years and even if they look like they are not comming back, they will. Sometimes they skip a year. So dont toss them out. 🌟 have a happy 1st Advent. 🌟

Merci ! Can you make a video on very long lasting container plants that we don’t have to renew every season?
@TheMiddlesizedGarden3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I will - I thought I had done so as there is a post on the Middlesized Garden blog, which I attach here as you may find it helpful. However, I didn't make the accompanying video, so I will try to do that. The pots in the post have been in my garden for several years now without being changed. www.themiddlesizedgarden.co.uk/10-easy-care-evergreen-pots-for-year-round-impact/

Hello, where is a good place to get large stone pots online? Thank you
@TheMiddlesizedGarden3 жыл бұрын
It depends on where you live and also delivery is likely to be expensive when you're buying large stone pots online. It also very much depends on your budget and whether you want real stone or are happy with good lookalikes, such as those made with resin or concrete mixes. It's probably best to google 'stone pots near me' and start from there - sorry not to be more specific, but I hope that helps.

Is what you call compost, what we in the US call potting soil?
@TheMiddlesizedGarden3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think that is the same. It is the soil mix we put in the pot. Your term is more accurate, I think, as 'potting compost' is more 'potting soil' than actual compost. Thank you.

!what a pot! Where do I buy this in USA??
@TheMiddlesizedGarden3 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure but it is terracotta, so you should be able to find something similar. Sorry that's not very helpful, but perhaps someone reading the comments will be able to advise!

Approximately equivalent to a Zone 9 or perhaps 8b - it doesn't correlate exactly.
