I simply loved Victor Garber in the movie. He played a character of a colonel, who should have been a tough cookie, yet in the most troublesome moments he was compassionate. Side note, I love me some VG : )

Hard to believe that they went up the snow mountain without bringing along any form of communication equipment with them, common sense would have told them that communication tools are one of the most essential things to bring along especially so when they have experienced tremors in the same area earlier. Walkie talkies are plenty in the military establishment.
