This is an overview on my friends used 2005 Mini Cooper S Convertible. He picked this one up from a dealership in Oklahoma with 113,000 miles on the clock. Apart from normal wear and tear its a very nice used convertible. Hope you enjoy the video.

I just test drove a 2006 mini Cooper convertible, and I've never honestly looked at a convertible in my life, I'll say I'm really impressed with these little cars , they are super quick and handle like a Race car , the steering is amazing and corners like a train in rails , I'm definitely going to buy it as it has low miles and is in amazing condition and has been loved and taken care of by the previous owner. In my opinion the Mini Cooper is going to be the coolest car I'll ever own .

@@steveb611 I’m Definitely still buying one , just not the one I was originally buying, that one had a crack in the center of the front bumper cover and the strut towers were Domed up , the online pictures were Doctored and hid the damage and neglect of the car, I’m beyond in love with Mini coopers I’ll be buying one soon .

I owned this model - a 2007 R52 convertible. Brilliant little car. Rattled like a bucket of nails and the suspension is so firm it’s painful but we loved it!!! And that supercharger whine and exhaust pops! Lovely!!!

I work at Toyota Manufacturing plant and Their is a Blue Mini Cooper that works here & it’s the ONLY CAR that makes my HEART FLOAT💙🚆wish me luck guys I’m going to buy one🛺

There must have been something wrong with the procedure of opening the roof with the key, since I have an '05 r52s and it will open the roof completely by pressing the unlock button and holding until the windows are down, then releasing the button and holding it again will complete the process. And you're right, is a great little pocket rocket! :)

That explains it, it has happened to me after having the car sitting for a couple months. The key's battery recharges through the ignition when you're driving, and it would not be rare if the battery is pretty much dead after 13 years of usage. Great review, and thanks for taking the time to answer! This is my first Mini and my first convertible too, and I'm loving it! :)

@@susannesweetin is the same as the opening procedure but backwards! First click on the lock button and it locks the doors, second click and hold it and it closes the top, third click and hold and it closes sunroof and windows. Give it a try 😉

Looks like they installed a cold air intake system. It brings cooler air into the engine which boosts engine power and efficiency. Colder air has a higher oxygen density resulting in uninterrupted airflow.

I have a silver grey 2005 MCS R52 and she's a beauty. Best car for So Cal long drives.

This MINI Could have water infiltration from the tailgate. If you look at the top "bow" where the seal is, you can see there is some oxydation that bended the seal @ 7:12 This part got bended out before the trim/seal just on top of it is missing.

@@TheMINIac If you look @ 7:27, the part you touched to lift up the upper part of the tailgate, that's where there is rust/oxydation. This bow has a metal frame on which the seal is glued on it. Inside the seal, there is a metal strip to stiff the seal. When that strip of metal rust, it bends like you see. To replace this part, it's over 1500$. I got mine replaced in my 2005 R52S.

I have a 2005 Hot Orange R52 also. Weren't the interior dashboard pieces body colored? Or did that change with the gauge package?

Ich habe den gleichen . R 52, Rot / Weiß. 160 000 km, 116 HP. 6,2 Liter / 100 km Benzin. Ich fahre ihn nur von März - Oktober, nur bei schön Wetter. Leider braucht der Motor viel Öl, aber sonst bin ich sehr zufrieden.

This is my car, and somehow this car also escaped the classic rust of this era. No rust at all on this car. I'm going to be keeping this car forever. My son want's it so it will be passed onto him. I have a list of mods I want to add, it's a short list so far and it adds up to 10k so far.
