Up- cycling An Old Empty Clock In To A Miniature Brambly Hedge Kitchen!

This week we had a lot of fun creating a cosy Autumn Brambly Hedge Kitchen in an old empty clock! Unfortunately the clock had a very odd paint job when we bought it but it was nice to work with a clock with a non-wooden finish.We used the acorn tea set we made last week and a few other items we have made previously (see if you can spot them) Come with us and see how we got on!

🥰Thank you dear ladies😗💯 You are so great to watch. I only wish my mother would have loved me also. This reminds me how close my daughter and I have always been. We were loved making "yard art" for our garden🤭👧🙋‍♀ when she was still living at home. Now she has a babe of her own, and we still have to talk to each other a few times per week. As a retired children’s librarian, I love your children’s book related videos in particular. Who doesn’t love The Brambly Hedge books, The Borrowers books, The Littles books, Miss Hickory and so many more?! Every video you two do is so enchanting and delightful! That is just SO adorable, it makes me feel like weeping!! A very contradictory response, because I totally love it, but it might be the warm, cosy lighting, or the slightly melancholy music, or the fact that it's late at night here, but it does give me a sort of nostalgic feeling, like looking back on my past through the wrong end of a telescope!! OOOooh!! I'm here before it's even an hour old!!! I've been waiting for the next video so I could share my idea for your miniature carrots: If you were to cut short strands (about 2 cm) of green embroidery floss, then use glue to stiffen the lower 1 cm of it, and then unravel the ply into 3 or 4 strands (and also maybe stiffen those with a teeny-tiny bit of glue, but less than the bottom of the strand), and then fluff out the final ends of those 3 or 4 strands... don't you think it would look like a carrot top? - and then you could paste it onto the top of the Fimo carrots... I hope this idea is of use to you.. It's been on my mind all week!!! Now I'm off to watch the video ... thank you ladies, and kindest wishes, k

Thank you so much for this video. Not only are we seeing the final product but you also show us your thought processes and inspiration. The walks to collect the resources are amazing to me. I have never lived near any place that could be called a wood. I live at the edge of a very big city that has expanded to incorporate a small town so the area is fully developed. I had the town my mother came from to enjoy as I grew up but it was a farming community so the land was crops. The town my father came from was dry west Texas and an oil field. I would not trade any of my Texas experiences for any thing in this world but your world is very inviting and interesting on these visits you give me.

Wonderful! I love the Brambly Hedge books, and commented at the time that your room in the hole of a tree reminded me of them. I first had the books when my three sons were young in the late 80's and nineties, though they didn't appreciate them as much as I did. I bought them again recently to have when my grandson visits, but they're really just for me, he's too young to enjoy them!
