Wow! How do you have time to do all these wonderful things?! Did a get it right -you said you have a formal job now? Would love to know what kind of work you do and how many hours a day/week you work at this job... I work full time and live in NYC and feel like I only have 15 min to do yoga in the morning on a good day... ( more on the weekend of course) ... would love to figure out a way to work less and have more free time to do all those lovely things you do! Happy for you!

It sounds like moving to Berlin was the perfect decision. You look happy and fulfilled, and I love the way you've done your hair. Serving at the Vipassana retreat might be a nice way of giving back. Since you're so committed, you'll probaby be doing more retreats in the future. Best of wishes!

Have great respect for people who make natural soaps. Will you be selling?

Unfortunately, the laws here in Germany are a lot stricter in this area and I won't be able to legally sell them. In order to legally sell them, among other things, I would need my own workshop, as in an industrial space, other than my kitchen, where I produce my soaps. That's nowhere near feasible. That being said, I've been thinking of offering workshops and will be looking into that over the next few months! :)

@@theminimalistninja Sorry to hear this Nina. But laws are laws. Guess it would be the same here in Switzerland. But if you run say soap workshops find an extra room ( not too public) it should be great. I guess some of us KZbin viewers living in Germany, Switzerland, Austria or..... would be interested to support and attend. Sounds fun. Even at the age of 67, I would find it very interesting to learn about something new and useful. All the best. Then you could also run the workshop in German or English.

Happy to hear you settled in smoothly. Your space looks great, congrats on everything! I recently switched to using a water, soap and white vinegar cleaning solution along with baking soda. It’s working well and I’m happy to not be purchasing as much plastic. I’m still working on eliminating as much plastics as possible.

Hi Nina! so cool that you moved back to Germany - wish I were there myself. Just a couple of questions - is that sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide that you use, and where do you get it in Germany? Also, I must have missed something because you mentioned moving to Berlin by bus.. clearly you didn't take the bus from NYC to Berlin.. was there another stop in between? Can't wait to check out your cookie recipe.. clearly I have some catching up to do. Great to see you again! :)

yes, Sodium Hydroxide = lye! :) I buy it online as I've had trouble finding it at hardware stores. Yes, I moved to Berlin after 1.5 years of traveling and I was close enough to take a 11h bus! :)
