Mr C - What an amazing vid. Saved this for the last 25 mins of a 5.30am 3hr zone 2 steady state ride on the indoor trainer 🥱 So glad I did...so much drama and your music was really was absolutely incredible. Your movement on the rocker plate looks really natural now and seeing how much you have improved over the last few years has been fabulous to watch. Your power and recovery have both sky rocketed! That was a quality race to watch. What an effort. Without that drop out you would have been fresh as a daisy for that sprint. It’s those kind of races that raise the bar of what you can do over these short race distances. We arnt pros and we don’t ride 150 mile races. To get stronger for these 30 minute races I’ve found riding in tempo green zone on my practice rides. 250 to 270 watts is my green zone. You definitely feel it over 45 minutes to an hour. I won a CAT C race yesterday. That course had longer hills so I could really push the pace on the climbs and draft on all the flats. Flat is fast is a tough course and needs constant watts. Hence the tempo training

What a race, Ryan. Great comeback after being disconnected. Finishing 2nd must've made you feel great. Once you understand drafting and when/where to put power down, your racing improves 100%. Great job mate and congrats on the FTP boost

Realy impressive Ryan to see where you come from and now do this. I did this race today and yesterday and get dropped after the second escalator without a disconnection. Its crazy to see your mental and fysical power. I have a score of 391 and ftp of 256 10 years younger been sporty all my life. There is no way I can do that after that bad luck. Such an inspiration

Ryan your journey is very inspirational keep it up. I am new to Zwift I was hit by a car on the 13th march last year, resulting in me breaking my neck and detaching my spine from my pelvic must many more injuries, zwifting like you say is very addictive and is helping me enjoy a different type of cycling. Well done very entertaining. Cheers.

Having done this exact course as my second zwift race ever it’s very very interesting to see how it should be raced. This video was amazing to watch and as a new Zwifter. It gave me some valuable input. Must be amazing to be coached like that :-) It was mind blowing and inspiring to see how deep you can dig under pressure!
