That was a quality race to watch. What an effort. Without that drop out you would have been fresh as a daisy for that sprint. It’s those kind of races that raise the bar of what you can do over these short race distances. We arnt pros and we don’t ride 150 mile races. To get stronger for these 30 minute races I’ve found riding in tempo green zone on my practice rides. 250 to 270 watts is my green zone. You definitely feel it over 45 minutes to an hour. I won a CAT C race yesterday. That course had longer hills so I could really push the pace on the climbs and draft on all the flats. Flat is fast is a tough course and needs constant watts. Hence the tempo training

Very entertaining with the performance and Nathan as race strategy, defo learnt some things for my Zwifting. Can’t believe you can hold the higher watts so well and repeatedly 😮

Phenomenal race Ryan! Only have a couple races under my belt at a 268 ZRS, but my ftp is 3 w/kg and your race advice helped tremendously for my first podium.

Having done this exact course as my second zwift race ever it’s very very interesting to see how it should be raced. This video was amazing to watch and as a new Zwifter. It gave me some valuable input. Must be amazing to be coached like that :-) It was mind blowing and inspiring to see how deep you can dig under pressure!

Golden rule of Zwift stay in the draft and not in front or behind it. As soon as I discovered that, it felt like I was racing in a different game. oh and punch the kickers. :)
