I love siddu. Fan ho gayi main bas siddu ki. Humne siddu khaye the Sethan village main. Kalzang Dhabba in Sethan is very famous for the siddu made by very old aunty. it was pure akhrot siddu dipped in lots of ghee with a chatpati chutney. Aapki receipe dekhke maza aaya. Main bhi try karungi banana.

Wow. I am from Hunza, Pakistan. We too have somewhat similar dish, we call it Axcho-vey Berkutz (walnut Pie). We use a batan to grind walnut, add chopped onion in walnut paste and bake it on Tawa instead of steaming it, spread homemade ghee/apricot oil or walnut oil on it. For dough, we just add salt in plain flour.we dont use malera or yest (we call it Emma though). Do try our version of the dish, you will love it. 😊

This siddu is as like as Bihari PITTHHA , and Bihari pitthha is made up from rice flour and filling is so many types , such as khuskhus , spicy pulce , tici and so many other things as we like .
